(PUBLIC FOOTPATH CH10 (PARTS), CANTERBURY)
PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION AND DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDER 2024
The above-named Order made on 03 April 2024 under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 will divert the entire width of that length of public footpath numbered CH10, which commences on Public Footpath CH76 at NGR TR 1591 6617 (Point A), and travels north northeasterly for 313 metres to an unaffected length of public footpath CH10 at NGR TR 1595 6648 (Point B). As shown by the bold continuous line between Points A – B on the Order Plan and will add a new length of public footpath CH10 with a width of 2.5 metres, which commences on Public Footpath CH76 at NGR TR 1590 6617 (Point E), and travels north for 323 metres to the aforementioned Point B. As shown by the bold broken line between Points E – B on the Order Plan.
Also the entire width of that length of public footpath numbered CH10, which commences on an unaffected length of public footpath CH10 at NGR TR 1596 6651 (Point C) and runs north northeasterly for 46 metres to its connection with Greenhill Road at NGR TR 1598 6655 (Point D). As shown by the bold continuous line between points C – D on the Order Plan and will add a new length of public footpath numbered CH10, with a width of 2.5 metres, which commences on an unaffected length of public footpath CH10 at the aforementioned Point C, and runs north northeasterly for 39 metres to its connection with Greenhill Road at NGR TR 1597 6655 (Point F). As shown by the bold broken line between Points C – F on the Order Plan.

Any representation about or objection to the Order must be sent or delivered in writing to Michael Tonkin at the Kent County Council (address as below; email as above) no later than 11 May 2024. Please state the grounds on which they are made.
Please note that objections/representations cannot be treated as confidential and may come into the public domain. Copies of any objections or representations received may be disclosed to interested parties, including the Planning Inspectorate where the case is referred to it for determination.
If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, the Kent County Council may confirm the Order as an unopposed Order. If the Order is sent to the Secretary of State for the Environment for confirmation any representations and objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the Order.

DEFINITIVE MAP MODIFICATION ORDER 2023
On the 3rd April 2024 the Kent County Council confirmed the above Order without modifications.
The effect of the Order as confirmed is to modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by adding a bridleway numbered EE498 with a width of 3.0 metres which commences at NGR TR 3525 4793 (Point A) and runs in a west-north-westerly direction for 66 metres to NGR TR 3518 4794 (Point C) where it connects with Ringwould Road. As shown by the broken line with cross bars in the intervals between Point A-C on the Order Plan.
All distances are approximate, all directions are general.

This Order became operative as from the 3rd April 2024 but if a person aggrieved by the Order desires to question the validity thereof or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the powers of Section 53(3)(c)(i) of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, or that any of the requirements of Schedule 15 to the Act have not been complied with in relation to the confirmation of the Order, they may, under Paragraph 12 of Schedule 15 to the Act, within 42 days from 12th April 2024 make application for the purpose to the High Court.

The effect of the Order as confirmed is to modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by adding a new length of public bridleway numbered ER16 with a width of 3.0 metres, which commences at the south-west end of the existing length of public bridleway ER16 at NGR TR 3525 4793 (Point A on the order plan) and runs in a south-westerly direction for 140 metres to connect with Ringwould Road at NGR TR 3513 4785 (Point B). As shown between Points A-B on the Order Plan.

Notice of the making of an Order to temporarily close Public Footpath HF53 in the Parish of Folkestone

Kent County Council has made an Order the effect of which is to temporarily close Public Footpath HF53 From The Cliff Top Café to the junction with an unclassified path 350 metres to the south from the 15 April 2024.
The path will be closed for a maximum of six months or until such time as
the highway may safely be reopened if that is sooner.
The path is closed because there is a likelihood of danger to users due to a landslide.

Kent County Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to temporarily close Public Footpath NU14 between Thames Way, over the railway bridge and up to Public Footpath NU7A, from the 06 May 2024.
The path will be closed for a maximum of six months, although it is expected that it will reopen 06 June 2024
The path is to be closed because works are planned on or near it.
The alternative route is via Footpath NU7A and Thames Way and will be signed for the duration of the closure.

The above-named Order made on the 20th March 2024 under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 will divert the entire width of that length of public footpath numbered KH8 which commences at an unaffected section of public footpath KH8 at NGR TQ 7990 6037 (Point A) and runs in an east-north-eastern direction for 129 metres to its junction with Scragged Oak Road at NGR TQ 8002 6042 (Point B). As shown by the bold continuous line between Points A and B on the Order plan
and will add a new length of public footpath numbered KH8 with a width of 2.5 metres, which commences at the aforementioned Point A and runs in a south-south-eastern to southeastern direction for 13 metres to NGR TQ 7990 6036 (Point C) and then in an eastern direction for 116 metres to its connection with Scragged Oak Road at NGR 8002 6036 (Point D). As shown by the bold broken line between Points A – C - D on the Order plan.

The above-named Order made on the 20th March 2024 under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 will divert the entire width of that length of public footpath numbered WS15, which commences at its connection with the unaffected length of public footpath WS15 at NGR TQ 5854 4203 (Point A on the order plan) and then runs in a north-easterly direction for 34 metres to NGR TQ 5857 4205 and then in a north—westerly direction for 4 metres to NGR TQ 5857 4205 and then in a north-north- easterly direction for 9 metres to NGR TQ 5857 4206 (Point B) where it connects with the unaffected length of public footpath. As shown by the bold continuous line between Points A-B on the Order plan
and will add a new length of public footpath numbered WS15, with a width of 2.0 metres, which commences at the aforementioned Point A and runs in a northerly direction for 12 metres to NGR TQ 5854 4204 and then in a north-easterly direction for 34 metres to the aforementioned Point B.
