NOTICE OF INTENDED DISPOSAL OF
PART OF LAND ON THE WEST SIDE OF STATION ROAD (FORMING PART OF STATION ROAD COMMUNITY GARDENS), BILLINGSHURST, WEST SUSSEX
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN in accordance with section 123(2A) of the Local Government Act 1972 ("the Act") that Horsham District Council ("the Council"), in exercise of its powers under section 123(1) of the Act, intends to dispose of the following land:
Part of land on the west side of Station Road (forming part of Station Road Community Gardens), Billingshurst, West Sussex
The Council intends to sell its freehold interest in the land in question to Billingshurst Parish Council of Billingshurst Community & Conference Centre, Roman Way, Billingshurst, West Sussex RH14 9QW.
A copy of the plan showing (cross-hatched in red) the location of the land in question is available for inspection between the hours of 9:00am and 5:00pm Monday to Friday (excluding bank holidays) at the Council's offices at Parkside, Chart Way, Horsham, West Sussex RH12 1RL or can be requested by email to legal@horsham.gov.uk, quoting reference CR/002689.
This is a formal notice given to the extent that the land of which the Council intends to dispose is deemed to consist or form part of an open space for the purposes of section 123(2A) of the Act.
Representations or objections to the intended disposal should be made in writing, quoting reference CR/002689, and sent to the Council, addressed to Lauren Kelly, Head of Legal and Democratic Services, Horsham District Council, Parkside, Chart Way, Horsham, West Sussex RH12 1RL, or sent by email to legal@horsham.gov.uk, to be received not later than 12 noon on 19 April 2024. The grounds for any objection should be stated.
