THE BOROUGH COUNCIL OF PENDLE
PUBLIC FOOTPATHS 20 AND 57 AT RAIKES WOOD CLOSE AND VICTORIA ROAD, BARNOLDSWICK
PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER 2024
The above order, made on 18 March 2024, under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980, will divert public footpath FP1301020 from where it starts on Victoria Road, Barnoldswick at grid reference SD 8840 4667 (Point A on the order map) to the corner of the back fence of 12 Raikes Wood Close at SD 8837 4664 (Point B) to a line running from where the path starts on Victoria Road, Barnoldswick at grid reference SD 8840 4667 (Point A) then running south-east for 10 metres on an existing tarmac road to SD 8840 4665 (Point D) and then west-south-west for 40 metres on a trodden path through a gateway to the unaffected part of FP1301020 at SD 8837 4664 (Point B). The order will also divert public footpath FP1301057 commencing from public footpath 20 Barnoldswick at SD 8837 4664 (Point B) and running generally west-north-west for 150 metres to the footway on Raikes Hill at SD 8823 4669 (Point C) to a line running from FP1301020 at SD 8837 4664 (Point B) and running generally west-north-west through woodland along a trodden path for 55 metres to SD 8831 4664 (Point E) and then generally north-west for 10 metres through an area of woodland to a fence boundary with Raikes Wood Close at SD 8830 4665 (Point F) and then generally west following the edge of a road for 27 metres to join the adopted section of Raikes Wood Close at SD 8827 4665 (Point G). Any representations about or objections to the order may be sent in writing to the Head of Legal and Democratic Services, Borough of Pendle, Nelson Town Hall, Market Street, Nelson, Lancashire, BB9 7LG not later than 22 April 2024. Please state the grounds on which they are made. If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, the Borough of Pendle may confirm the order as an unopposed order. If the order is sent to the Secretary of State for the Environment for confirmation, any representations or objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the order.
