The Secretary of State for Transport has directed that the Order made by Kent County Council on the 30 August 2021, the effect of which was to prohibit all traffic from Public Footpath AE113 has been extended for a further six months, until 30 September 2024
The path is closed between Olantigh Road and its junction with Public Footpath AE110
The alternative route is via Olantigh Road, the High Street and Public Footpath AE110, and will be signed for the duration of the closure.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC PATH VARIATION ORDER
TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990 SECTION 257 AND 333
THE ASHFORD BOROUGH COUNCIL
(PUBLIC BRIDLEWAY AE667A (part), SEVINGTON)
PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER 2022 (VARIATION) ORDER 2024
The above Order was made on 13 March 2024 under SectionS 257 AND 333(7) of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990.
The effect of the Order will be to vary the Ashford Borough Council (Public Bridleway AE667A (part) at Sevington) Public Path Diversion Order 2022 as follows:
In part II of the Schedule, referring to the new width of Public Bridleway numbered AE667A, is amended by the deletion of “with a width of 4 metres” to “with a width of 3.5 metres between points A-C and gradually increasing to a width of 3.75 metres between points C and X and increasing to a width of 4 metres between points X-D-B”.
The plan accompanying the 2022 Diversion Order is also substituted with a new plan attached to the 2024 Variation Order.
A copy of the Order and the Map have been placed and may be seen free of charge during normal office hours at the offices of Ashford Gateway Plus, Church Road, Ashford, Kent, TN23 1AS or at the Kent County Council, History and Library Centre, James Whatman Way, Maidstone, Kent, ME14 1LQ, from 10am-5pm. Any representation about or objection to the Order must be sent or delivered in writing to Emma Peters at the Kent County Council (address as below; email and telephone as above) no later than 19 April 2024. Please state the grounds on which they are made.
Please note that objections/representations cannot be treated as confidential and may come into the public domain. Copies of any objections or representations received may be disclosed to interested parties, including the Planning Inspectorate where the case is referred to it for determination.
If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn Ashford Borough Council may itself confirm the Order as an unopposed Order. If the Order is sent to the Secretary of State for the Environment for confirmation any representations or objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the Order.

PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION AND DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDER 2024
The above-named Order made on 13 March 2024 under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 will divert the entire width of that length of Public Footpath KH9, which commences on an unaffected length of KH9 at NGR TQ 7901 6167 (Point A) and travels in an east southeasterly direction for 141 metres to NGR TQ 7915 6164 (Point B), where the path terminates on Dunn Street Road. Also the entire width of that length of Public Footpath numbered KH9, which commences on an unaffected length of KH9 at NGR TQ 7920 6157 (Point X) and travels in a north northwesterly direction for 68 metres to NGR TQ 7915 6162 (Point Y), where the path terminates on Dunn Street Road. Both shown by the bold continuous line between Points A – B and X – Y on the Order Plan. The order will add a new length of Public Footpath with a width of 2.5 metres, which commences at the aforementioned Point A and travels in a south southeasterly direction for 21 metres to NGR TQ 7901 6165 (Point C), then continues in an east southeasterly direction for 138 metres to NGR TQ 7914 6162 (Point D), where the path terminates on Dunn Street Road. Also a new length of Public Footpath numbered KH9, with a width of 2.5 metres, which commences at the aforementioned Point X, and travels in a northwesterly direction for 62 metres to NGR TQ 7915 6161 (Point Z), where the path terminates on Dunn Street Road. Both shown by the bold broken line between Points A – C – D and X – Z on the Order Plan.

Kent County Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to temporarily close Public Footpath SR49 between Tudor Drive and the western side of the rail crossing at the connection with Public Footpath SR59 from the 17 April 2024
The path will be closed for a maximum of six months, although it is expected that it will reopen 03 May 2024
The path is to be closed because works are planned on or near it.
The alternative route will be signed for the duration of the closure.

Notice is hereby given that on 26 February 2024, the Kent County Council (on behalf of Sevenoaks District Council) certified that the terms of Article 2 of the above-named Order, requiring an alternative highway to be created to the reasonable satisfaction of the Kent County Council (on behalf of Sevenoaks District Council) had been complied with.
Accordingly, the above-named Order has now taken effect.

The path will be closed for a maximum of six months, although it is expected that it will open sooner.
The path is to be closed because works are planned on or near it.
The alternative route is via Public Footpath ZR118, School Lane and Public Footpath ZR119, and will be signed for the duration of the closure.

NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF PUBLIC PATH ORDER

(PUBLIC FOOTPATH ZR174 (part), BREDGAR)
PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION AND DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDER 2023
On 7 March 2024 the Kent County Council confirmed the above Order under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980.
The effect of that Order as confirmed is to divert the entire width of that length of public footpath ZR174, which commences on Hawks Hill Lane at NGR TQ 8912 5960 (point A) and runs north north-west for 30 metres to an unaffected length of public footpath ZR174 at NGR TQ 8910 5963 (point B), and to provide a new length of public footpath numbered ZR174, which commences at the aforementioned point B and runs south-west for 45 metres to NGR TQ 8907 5960 (point C), then turns to run south-east and east for 30 metres to its connection with Hawks Hill Lane at NGR TQ 8909 5958 (point D). The new path will have a width of 2.5 metres except for a pinch point of 1.2 metres approximately 12 metres from the western boundary fence where there is a mature tree restricting the width. There will be a structured gap at NGR TQ 8909 5958 (point D) of 1.2 metres which will be set back 1.5 metres from the roadside.

The Order comes into force on 4 April 2024, but if a person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980 (the Act), as amended, and/or the powers of section 53A of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 (WCA) or on the ground that any requirement of either Act or of any regulation made under them has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may under Paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by Paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, and as applied by s53A(7) WCA, within 6 weeks from the 22 March 2024, make an application to the High Court.

Kent County Council has made an Order the effect of which is to temporarily close Public Footpath WT249 from Maidstone Road for a distance of 20m from the 25 March 2024
The path will be closed for a maximum of six months, although it is expected that it will reopen 13 April 2024
The path is closed because works are planned on or near it.
The alternative route is east of the existing footpath and will be signed for the duration of the closure.
