Notice is hereby given that on the 1st day of March 2024 Somerset Council made the above Order in exercise of the provisions of Section 14 (1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as previously advertised on the 23rd day of February 2024, to introduce the following temporary 3.5 Tonne Weight Restriction as detailed in the Schedule below due to a carriage way slip on Bonniton Lane. This Order will come into operation on the 8th day of March 2024 and will remain in force for eighteen months. The restrictions will only apply when indicated by traffic signs. A copy of the draft Temporary Traffic Regulation Order and the associated plans can be examined at www.somerset.gov.uk/TRO. Statement of reasons for making the Order a)because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road; b) because of the likelihood of danger to the public, or of serious damage to the road, which is not attributable to such works.
