Notice of application for a transfer licence to abstract (take) water
Morrison Energy Services Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.
The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application, in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.
The application is for a licence to abstract water from underground strata consisting of Superficial Alluvium Deposits (sands and gravel) at National Grid References TL 71680 06454, TL 71835 06433, TL 71857 06271, TL 71774 06270 in Chelmsford, Essex. To transfer it to the River Chelmer at National Grid Reference TL 71791 06244 without intervening use.
The application is to abstract water as follows:
• 468 cubic metres an hour • 11,232 cubic metres a day
• 4,099,680 cubic metres per year • All year abstraction.
