What is happening?
LOCAL DISCOUNTS AND PREMIUMS POLICY
The Local Government Finance Act 2012 and The Levelling Up and Regeneration Act 2023 make provision for local authorities to have discretion over the level of council tax discounts for empty properties and second homes and the duration for which they may be awarded.
Notice is hereby given that the following recommendations to update amounts of local discounts and premiums in the Council Tax Local Discounts and Premiums Policy were approved at a Special Council meeting at Chorley Council on Tuesday 27th February 2024.
