PUBLIC CONSULTATION NOTICE
Hagshaw Energy Cluster - Western Expansion Phase 1
3R Energy (on behalf of Spirebush Ltd) is hosting a series of public consultation events into proposals to submit an application to the Scottish Ministers for Consent under Section 36 of The Electricity Act 1989, to construct and operate the Hagshaw Energy Cluster - Western Expansion Phase 1. The site adjoins an established cluster of wind farms at Dungavel Hill in rural South Lanarkshire and extends southwards to the north of the village of Muirkirk in East Ayrshire.
The proposed development will comprise the installation of around 26 wind turbines, an area of solar panels, a substation, energy storage facility and associated infrastructure. The mixed renewable energy development would have a total generating capacity of approximately 487 megawatts (MW).
We are holding three public consultation events to provide updated details of the proposed development, the progress to date and the next steps, as well as to seek the views of the local communities and to answer any questions you may have. The dates, times and venues of the events are outlined below:
Tuesday 19th March 2024. 2pm to 7pm.

Written comments can be made on the feedback forms available on the day, on the website below, separately in writing to 3R Energy at the postal address below or submitted directly by email to: info@3renergy.co.uk
All comments should be submitted to 3R Energy within 4 weeks of the last public consultation event, no later than 19th April 2024. Please note that any comments made are not representations to the Scottish Ministers. Once the Section 36 Consent application is submitted there will be an opportunity to make direct representations to the Scottish Ministers at that time.
All exhibition material will be available to view on the project website below, from the 18th March 2024.
