Hagshaw Energy Cluster – Western Expansion | Phase I

3R Energy (on behalf of Spirebush Ltd) is hosting a series of public consultation events into proposals to
submit an application to the Scottish Ministers for Consent under Section 36 of The Electricity Act 1989, to
construct and operate the Hagshaw Energy Cluster – Western Expansion | Phase I. The site adjoins an
established cluster of wind farms at Dungavel Hill in rural South Lanarkshire and extends southwards to the
north of the village of Muirkirk in East Ayrshire.
The proposed development will comprise the installation of around 26 wind turbines, an area of solar panels,
a substation, energy storage facility and associated infrastructure. The mixed renewable energy
development would have a total generating capacity of approximately 487 megawatts (MW).
We are holding three public consultation events to provide updated details of the proposed development,
the progress to date and the next steps, as well as to seek the views of the local communities and to answer
