Council Tax 2024/25
For the Borough of Tunbridge Wells
On 28 February 2024, the Borough Council set the Council Tax for the financial year 1st April 2024 to 31st March 2025. Council Tax includes the amounts collected by Tunbridge Wells Borough Council on behalf of Kent County Council, Kent Police and Crime Commissioner, Kent Fire & Rescue Service and the Parish and Town Councils within the Borough. The charges are as shown below:-

Empty properties - dwellings which are normally unoccupied and unfurnished for a period of 12 months or less will receive a discount of 0%
Empty properties - dwellings which are normally unoccupied and unfurnished for a period of one year or more will receive a discount of 0% and have the Council Tax charge increased by 100%
Empty properties - dwellings which are normally unoccupied and unfurnished for a period of five years or more will receive a discount of 0% and have the Council Tax charge increased by 200%
Empty properties - dwellings which are normally unoccupied and unfurnished for a period of ten years or more will receive a discount of 0% and have the Council Tax charge increased by 300%
Empty and unfurnished properties requiring or undergoing structural repair or alteration or major works will receive a discount of 0%
