Notice of extension of an Order temporarily closing Public Footpath AE585 in the Parish of Orlestone

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 Section 14(1), As Amended By The Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991
The Secretary of State for Transport has directed that the Order made by Kent County Council on the 2 September 2022 and subsequently extended until 2 March 2024, the effect of which was to prohibit all traffic from Public Footpath AE585 has been extended for a further 12 months, until the 2 March 2025 or until the completion of the works, whichever is the earlier.
The path is closed between the railway line and Huntbourne Wood.
The alternative route is via the perimeter of the works and will be signed for the duration of the closure.

THE KENT COUNTY COUNCIL
(PUBLIC FOOTPATH AT204 (PART) WOODCHURCH)
PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION AND DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDER 2024
The above-named Order made on 07 February 2024 under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 will divert the entire width of that length of Public Footpath numbered AT204, which commences at NGR TQ 9601 3452 (Point A) and runs in a westerly direction for 277 metres to NGR TQ 9573 3453 (Point B) where the path connects to Public Footpath AT205 and an unaffected length of Public Footpath AT204. As shown by the bold line between Points A – B on the Order Plan and will add a new length of public footpath with a width of two metres, which commences at the aforementioned Point A and travels in a west southwesterly direction for 134 metres to NGR TQ 9588 3449 (Point C), then continues in a southwesterly direction for 26 metres to its termination point on Georges Hill at NGR TQ 9586 3448 (Point D). As shown by the bold broken line between Points A – C – D on the Order Plan.

Please note that objections/representations cannot be treated as confidential and may come into the public domain. Copies of any objections or representations received may be disclosed to interested parties, including the Planning Inspectorate where the case is referred to it for determination.
If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, the Kent County Council may confirm the Order as an unopposed Order. If the Order is sent to the Secretary of State for the Environment for confirmation any representations and objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the Order.

PUBLIC PATH CREATION AND DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDER 2024
The above-named Order made on 07 February 2024 under Section 26 of the Highways Act 1980 will add a new length of Public Footpath numbered AT205 with a width of 2.0 metres, which commences at NGR TQ 95733 34536 (Point A) and travels in a south southwesterly direction for 9 metres to NGR TQ 95730 34526 (Point B), where the path terminates on Georges Hill.

Notice of the intention to make an Order to temporarily close Public Footpath WT249 in the Parish of Paddock Wood

(Prohibition Of Traffic) Temporary Order 2024
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Section 14(1), As Amended By The Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991
Kent County Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to temporarily close Public Footpath WT249 from Maidstone Road for a distance of 20m from the 25 March 2024
The path will be closed for a maximum of six months, although it is expected that it will reopen 13 April 2024
The path is to be closed because works are planned on or near it.
The alternative route is east of the existing footpath and will be signed for the duration of the closure.
