Derby City Council has made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
(as amended) to prohibit use of the roads by traffic.
TEMPORARY CLOSURE ORDER ON CYCLE LANE BETWEEN NORMANTON ROAD AND
MILL HILL LANE, DERBY
WHEN: 26 February 2024 to 28 February 2024 WHERE: Cycle Lane, full length between Normanton Road
and Mill Hill Lane REASON: Telecom works ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Normanton Road – Mill Hill Lane and
the same in the opposite direction

TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE ORDER ON WHITAKER ROAD, DERBY
WHEN: 31 March 2024 WHERE: Whitaker Road, at its junction with Burton Road REASON: Drainage
works ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Burton Road – Vicarage Road – Whitaker Road and the same in the opposite
direction
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will

Derby City Council (Oakleigh Avenue Area) (Moving Vehicle Restrictions)
(Amendment to Map Based Schedule) (No.66) (Experimental) Order 2023
DERBY CITY COUNCIL made this Experimental Order on the 22nd day of February 2024, which will become
effective from the 4th day of March 2024 for a period of 18 months, under Sections 1, 2, 4, and Part IV
of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the Road Traffic Act 1991 the Traffic Management Act 2004 and
all other enabling powers in that behalf and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police:
The purpose of the Experimental Order is to bring into effect the following:
Prohibition of driving of motor vehicles (Mon-Fri 8.30am - 9am and 2.45pm - 3.45pm) (Permit Holder
Exemption) exemptions 1, 2
• Oakleigh Avenue, Eastwards from its junction with Reginald Road South – to include Newstead Avenue,
Lenton Avenue and Lea Drive
• Ismay Road, for its entire length
A copy of the Experimental Order together with maps which show the definitive extents of the Order and
a copy of the Authority’s Statement of Reasons for making the Experimental Order, may be inspected on
Derby City Council’s website at the following URL: https://www.derby.gov.uk/tro
Derby City Council will be considering, in due course, whether the provisions of this Experimental Order
should be continued in force indefinitely.
Anyone wishing to object to the Experimental Order continuing in force indefinitely, should state their grounds
of objection, sending it in writing to Derby City Council, Traffic and Transportation, Communities and Place,
The Council House, Corporation Street, Derby, DE1 2FS or by email to traffic.management@derby.gov.uk to
be received no later than the 3rd September 2024.
