BOROUGH OF ROCHDALE
(MANCHESTER OLD ROAD, MIDDLETON)
(TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF LIMITED WAITING BAY & TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF WAITING) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rochdale Borough Council intend, in not less than seven days, to make an Order, the effect of which will be to temporarily;
I. Prohibit vehicles from waiting at any time along the north side of Manchester Old Road from a point 25 metres east of its junction with Chapel Street for a distance of 33 metres in an easterly direction,
II. Suspend (part of) the Borough of Rochdale ((Civil Enforcement of Traffic Contraventions) (Various Streets) (Middleton Township) Order 2008) (Amendment) (No.65) Order 2019

Manchester Old Road, Middleton
The north side from a point 25 metres east of its junction with Chapel Street for a distance of 33 metres in an easterly direction
The Order is required to facilitate telecoms works within the footway and pedestrian walkway provision in the carriageway.
The Order will be operative from 08:00 hours until 18:00 hours on 3rd March 2024.
(QUEEN ELIZABETH WAY, PILSWORTH ROAD AND HILL TOP ROAD, HEYWOOD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICLES, TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF WEIGHT RESTRICTION, TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF WIDTH RESTRICTION AND TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF LEFT TURN) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rochdale Borough Council made an Order, the effect of which is to temporarily;
i. Prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Queen Elizabeth Way (The Northerly Carriageway) from a point 330 metres west of its junction with Manchester Road to its junction with Manchester Road, in so far as vehicles will not be permitted to travel along Queen Elizabeth Way (The Northerly Carriageway) in an easterly direction towards Manchester Road,
ii. Suspend The Borough of Rochdale (Pilsworth Road/Moss Hall Road, Heywood) (18 Tonne Weight Restriction (2000 Hours until 0600 Hours, 7 Days a Week)) Order 2011,
iii. Suspend The Borough of Rochdale (Pilsworth Road, Heywood) (Width Restriction) Order 2011,
iv. Prohibit vehicles from undertaking a left turn manoeuvre from Hill Top Road onto Queen Elizabeth Way.
The alternative route for vehicles wishing to travel along Queen Elizabeth Way in a south easterly direction is via Queen Elizabeth Way, Pilsworth Road, Bridge Street (A58), Dawson Street, Bamford Road, Market Place, Lt Cpl Stephen Shaw MC Way (A6046), Church Street (A6046), Manchester St (A6046) and Manchester Road (A6046).
The Order is required to facilitate Highway works.
The Order will be operative from 20:00 hours on 16th February 2024 until 06:00 hours on 19th February 2024 and from 20:00 hours on 23rd February 2024 until 06:00 hours on 26th February 2024.
(WALTON STREET, HEYWOOD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICLES) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Rochdale Borough Council made an Order, the effect of which is to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Walton Street from its junction with Manchester Road for a distance of 30 metres in a westerly direction.
The Order is required to facilitate the laying of a new water main and to allow for new connections onto the main.
The Order will be operative from 08.00 hours on 17th February 2024 until 18.00 hours on 1st March 2024.
The alternative route for vehicles will be via Manchester Road, Newhouse Road, Walton Street and vice versa.
