Sabdwell - Waitng and Loading Restrictions

The council has made The Borough Council of Sandwell (Waiting and Loading Restrictions) (Traffic Regulation Order Review No.17) 2024: which has the effect of introducing the following amendments: –

 1) Introduce or extend/reduce ‘No Waiting at Any Time’ in part(s) of Anderson Road, Belmont Road, Clifford Road, Dunsford Road, Lightwoods Road, Lindon Road, Marlborough Road, Merrivale Road, Richmond Road, Talbot Road, Upper St Mary’s Road, Weston Road and Wighorn Road, Bearwood. Ashley Road, Beacon Close, Cheshire Road, Church Road, Durban Road, Edward Road, Grand Close, Halfords Lane, Hanson Close, Harvest Road, Hill Street, Kimberley Road, King Street, Montague Road, Mornington Road, North Western Road, Perry Street, Pool Road, Rabone Lane, Raglan Road, Rolfe Street, Rosebery Road, Rosefield Road, Slatch House Road, Stanhope Road, Trafalgar Road, Unett Street, Waterloo Road, Watery Lane, Whitehouse Drive and Woodlands Street, Smethwick. 2) Reduce restriction time of ‘No Waiting’ from Monday to Saturday 8am to 6pm to Monday to Friday 8am to 6pm in Part of Abbey Road, Bearwood. 3) Remove ‘Limited Waiting Monday to Saturday 8am to 6pm 2hrs no return within 1hr’ in part(s) of Piddock Road, Smethwick. 4) Introduce or extend/reduce ‘Residents Parking, At Any Time’ with ‘Shared Use Monday to Saturday 8am to 6pm 2hrs no return within 3hrs’ in part(s) of Anderson Road, Bearwood. 5) Abandon the proposed ‘No Waiting at Any Time’ at the end of Hanson Close (cul-de-sac), and the proposed extension of ‘No Waiting at Any Time’ on Milcote Road. Also abandon the removal of the existing loading bay in part of Three Shires Oak Road, Bearwood, as advertised 11/08/2022. The Order was made on 08/02/2024 and shall come into operation on 22/02/2024. Full details may be examined on the council’s website. Anyone wishing to question the validity of the order, claiming any aspect of the relevant legislation has not been complied with, can apply to the High Court by 21/03/2024.
