SOUTH GLOUCESTERSHIRE COUNCIL

(Various Roads, Thornbury – Resurfacing)

(Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles, Pedal Cycles
and Equestrians) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance
of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as
amended has made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily,
to vehicles, pedal cycles and equestrians the lengths of road specified in
the Schedule to this notice. This order was required for the following reason:
in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon
resurfacing works. The order became operative from 12 February 2024 for
a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be
implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in
position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are
anticipated to be of 10 nights duration, between the hours of 8pm and 6am.
Schedule: 1. High Street – that length which extends from its junction
with Castle Court to its junction with The Plain; 2. The Plain – that length
which extends from its junction with High Street to its junction with Quaker
Lane; 3. Quaker Lane – that length which extends from its junction with
The Plain to its junction with Rock Street; 4. Rock Street – that length
which extends from its junction with Quaker Lane to its junction with Bath
Road Alternative routes: Main diversion route – Castle Street, Park Road,
B4061, Morton Way, Midland Way, B4061 Rock Street (part unaffected)
vice versa; 1. High Street (one Way heading southbound), B4061 Midland
Way, B4061 Rock Street; 3. Gloucester Road then main diversion route;
4. Gillingstool, Grovesend Road then main diversion route

(Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance
of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as
amended intends to make an order the effect of which will be to close,
temporarily, to vehicles that length of Golden Valley Lane which extends
from a point 100m north east of Newpit Lane north eastwards for 150m.
This order is required for the following reason: in connection with
carriageway chamber desilting works. The order will be operative from
4 March 2024 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure
however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when
traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the
works which are anticipated to be of a 1 day duration, between the hours
of 9.30am and 3.30pm. Alternative route: Beach Lane, Wick Lane,
Brewery Hill, A431 Bath Road, Golden Valley Lane and vice versa
(Emerson Way – Northbound, Emersons Green)
(Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance
of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as
amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily,
to vehicles that length of the northbound carriageway of Emerson Way
which extends from a point 140m west of the Rosary Roundabout at the
Emerson Way Roundabout generally westwards for 25m. This order was
required for the following reason: in connection with new telecommunication
mast and cabinet installation works. The order became operative from
12 February 2024 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure
however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when
traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the
works which are anticipated to be of a 1 night duration, between 10pm
and 6am. Alternative route: Emerson Way, A4174, Westerleigh Road and
vice versa
