Wolverhampton - Private Hire Licence Fees

PUBLIC NOTICE 

LOCAL GOVERNMENT (MISCELLANEOUS PROVISIONS) ACT 1976 SECTION 70 HACKNEY CARRIAGE, PRIVATE HIRE VEHICLES AND OPERATORS' LICENCE FEES 

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Wolverhampton Council propose to vary the fees for Hackney Carriage, Private Hire Vehicle and Operators' Licences within the City as follows:- 

Private Hire Operators 1 Year 5 Years (Large - More than 4 Vehicles) Initial £1000 - Renewal £ 750 £3000 Private Hire Operators 1 Year 5 Years (Small - 4 Vehicles or Less) Initial £1000 - Renewal £ 150 £500 Vehicles Hackney Carriage Up to 16 years Old 1 Year £125 Fast Track New/Renewal £180 Exceptional Condition Assessment £120 required at 16 years and each subsequent 6 months Private Hire Up to 10 years old 1 Year £125 Over 10 years old and under 12 years old 6 Months £125 Fast Track New/Renewal £180 Hackney Carriage/Private Hire Vehicle Testing Facilities Council approved VOSA Registered Garages £200 In accordance with S70(3)(b) of the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1976 a copy of this notice may be inspected without payment during normal office hours at Licensing Services, until 28 February 2024. Any objections to the proposed variations should be made in writing or via email to the undersigned by 28 February 2024.
