(PORTLAND STREET,
HUDDERSFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF
TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the
Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason
of works proposed to be carried out on or
near the road intends not less than seven days
from the date of this Notice to make an Order
the effect of which will be that no person
shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed
in that length of Portland Street, Huddersfield
from a point outside property no. 8 to its
junction with Trinity Street PROVIDED
THAT such prohibition shall not extend to
vehicles being used in connection with the
works to be carried out on or near the closed
length of road or to vehicles requiring access
up to the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all
times.
Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the
closure will be available via the unaffected
length of Portland Street, Fitzwilliam Street,
Trinity Street.
It is intended that the closure will commence
on Saturday, 10th February 2024 and remain
in force until 11th February 2024 (although
it can remain in force for any period up to 18
months if necessary).
(DEAN BROOK ROAD,
NETHERTHONG, HOLMFIRTH)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF
TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the
Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason
of works proposed to be carried out on or
near the road intends not less than seven
days from the date of this Notice to make
an Order the effect of which will be that no
person shall cause or permit any vehicle to
proceed in that short length of Dean Brook
Road from its junction with Miry Lane for
approximately 20 metres PROVIDED
THAT such prohibition shall not extend to
vehicles being used in connection with the
works to be carried out on or near the closed
length of road or to vehicles requiring access
up to the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all
times.
Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the
closure will be available via Dean Avenue,
Denham Drive, Holmdale Crescent, Moor
Lane, West End, Town Gate, Church Street,
School Street, Thong Lane, Woodhead Road,
Calf Hill Road, Dean Brook Road.
It is intended that the closure will commence
on Saturday, 10th February 2024 and remain
in force until 18th February 2024 (although
it can remain in force for any period up to 18
months if necessary).
(SLAITHWAITE ROAD, MELTHAM,
HOLMFIRTH) (TEMPORARY
PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC)
ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the
Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason
of works proposed to be carried out on or
near the road intends not less than seven
days from the date of this Notice to make
an Order the effect of which will be that no
person shall cause or permit any vehicle to
proceed in that length of Slaithwaite Road,
Meltham, Holmfirth from its junction with
Blackmoorfoot Road to its junction with
Golcar Brow Road PROVIDED THAT
such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles
being used in connection with the works to
be carried out on or near the closed length of
road or to vehicles requiring access up to the
point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all
times.
Alternative routes for vehicles affected
by the closure will be available via the
unaffected length of Slaithwaite Road,
Station Street, Huddersfield Road, Meltham
Road, Lockwood Road, St Thomas’ Road,
Manchester Road, Varley Road and vice
versa.
It is intended that the closure will commence
on Sunday, 11th February 2024 and remain
in force until 18th February 2024 (although
it can remain in force for any period up to 18
months if necessary).
(HALL BOWER LANE, HALL BOWER,
HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY
PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC)
ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the
Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason
of works proposed to be carried out on or
near the road intends not less than seven
days from the date of this Notice to make
an Order the effect of which will be that no
person shall cause or permit any vehicle to
proceed in that short length of Hall Bower
Lane, Hall Bower at a point outside property
no. 3 PROVIDED THAT such prohibition
shall not extend to vehicles being used in
connection with the works to be carried out
on or near the closed length of road or to
vehicles requiring access up to the point(s)
of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all
times.
Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the
closure will be available via the unaffected
length of Hall Bower Lane, High Lane,
Jackroyd Lane, Newsome Road South,
Bridge Street, Ladyhouse Lane and vice
versa.
It is intended that the closure will commence
on Monday, 12th February 2024 and remain
in force until 14th February 2024 (although
it can remain in force for any period up to 18
months if necessary).
(DARK LANE, ALMONDBURY,
HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY
PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC)
ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the
Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason
of works proposed to be carried out on or
near the road intends not less than seven days
from the date of this Notice to make an Order
the effect of which will be that no person
shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed
in that length of Dark Lane, Almondbury
from its junction with St James’ Court to
its junction with Birks Lane PROVIDED
THAT such prohibition shall not extend to
vehicles being used in connection with the
works to be carried out on or near the closed
length of road or to vehicles requiring access
up to the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at
all times.
Alternative routes for vehicles affected by
the closure will be available via Birks Lane,
Fenay Lane, Northgate, St Helen’s Gate,
Dark Lane and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will commence
on Monday, 12th February 2024 and remain
in force until 14th February 2024 (although
it can remain in force for any period up to 18
months if necessary).
(HEYS ROAD, THONGSBRIDGE,
HOLMFIRTH) (TEMPORARY
PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC)
ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the
Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason
of works proposed to be carried out on or
near the road intends not less than seven days
from the date of this Notice to make an Order
the effect of which will be that no person
shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed
in that length of Heys Road, Thongsbridge
from its junction with New Mill Road to a
point outside property no. 15 PROVIDED
THAT such prohibition shall not extend to
vehicles being used in connection with the
works to be carried out on or near the closed
length of road or to vehicles requiring access
up to the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all
times.
Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the
closure will be available via New Mill Road,
Springwood Road, Miry Lane, Heys Road
and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will commence
on Monday, 12th February 2024 and remain
in force until 16th February 2024 (although
it can remain in force for any period up to 18
months if necessary).
(VARIOUS ROADS, FLOCKTON
MOOR, WAKEFIELD/EMLEY MOOR,
HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY
REDUCTION OF SPEED LIMIT)
ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the
Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason
of works proposed to be carried out on or
near the road intends not less than seven
days from the date of this Notice to make
an Order the effect of which will be that no
person shall cause or permit any vehicle to
proceed at a speed in excess of 40 mph in
the following lengths of road in Wakefield/
Huddersfield:-
Moor Top Lane - from its junction with
Linfit Lane to its junction with Lenacre Lane
Lenacre Lane/Westfield Lane -
from its junction with Moor Top Road to its
junction with Common Lane
Factory Lane - from its junction with
Lenacre Lane for approximately 20 metres
It is intended that the closure will commence
on Monday, 12th February 2024 and remain
in force until 29th March 2024 (although it
can remain in force for any period up to 18
months if necessary).
(TRINITY STREET/PORTLAND
STREET, HUDDERSFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF
TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the
Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason
of works proposed to be carried out on or
near the road intends not less than seven
days from the date of this Notice to make
an Order the effect of which will be that no
person shall cause or permit any vehicle to
proceed in the following lengths of road in
Huddersfield:-
Road Closure
Trinity Street - from its junction with
Castlegate to a point up to and including
Portland Street
Point Closure
Portland Street - at its junction with Trinity
Street
PROVIDED THAT such prohibition
shall not extend to vehicles being used in
connection with the works to be carried out
on or near the closed length of road or to
vehicles requiring access up to the point(s)
of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all
times.
Alternative routes for vehicles affected
by the closure will be available via Park
Avenue, Springwood Avenue, Merton Street,
Castlegate and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will commence
on Monday, 12th February 2024 and remain
in force until 16th February 2024 (although
it can remain in force for any period up to 18
months if necessary).
(HEATOR LANE/ROWGATE, UPPER
CUMBERWORTH, HUDDERSFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF
TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the
Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason
of works proposed to be carried out on or
near the road intends not less than seven days
from the date of this Notice to make an Order
the effect of which will be that no person
shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed
in that length of Heator Lane/Rowgate,
Upper Cumberworth from its junction with
Barnsley Road to its junction with Carr
Lane PROVIDED THAT such prohibition
shall not extend to vehicles being used in
connection with the works to be carried out
on or near the closed length of road or to
vehicles requiring access up to the point(s)
of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all
times.
Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the
closure will be available via Barnsley Road,
Lane Head Road, Carr Lane and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will commence
on Monday, 12th February 2024 and remain
in force until 17th May 2024 (although it
can remain in force for any period up to 18
months if necessary).
(ENTERPRISE WAY, BRADLEY,
HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY
PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC)
ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the
Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason
of works proposed to be carried out on or
near the road intends not less than seven
days from the date of this Notice to make
an Order the effect of which will be that no
person shall cause or permit any vehicle to
proceed in that length of Enterprise Way,
Bradley from its junction with Calder Valley
Greenway to its junction with Beck View
Business Park entrance PROVIDED THAT
such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles
being used in connection with the works to
be carried out on or near the closed length of
road or to vehicles requiring access up to the
point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all
times.
There is no alternative diversionary route
available. Access maintained for residents
and Emergency Service Vehicles only.
It is intended that the closure will commence
at 22:00 hours on Thursday, 15th February
2024 and remain in force until 06:00 hours
on 16th February 2024 (although it can
remain in force for any period up to 18
months if necessary).
(PUBLIC FOOTPATH HUD/356/10,
OAKES, HUDDERSFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF
USE) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the
Council of the Borough of Kirklees by
reason of works proposed to be carried out
on or near the footpath intends not less than
seven days from the date of this Notice to
make an Order the effect of which will be
that no person shall proceed in that length of
Public Footpath HUD/356/10, Oakes from its
junction with New Hey Road to its junction
with Bay Close PROVIDED THAT such
prohibition shall not extend to persons
carrying out the proposed works.
Alternative routes for persons affected by
the closure will be available via Bay Close,
Reinwood Road, New Hey Road and vice
versa.
It is intended that the closure will commence
on Monday, 12th February 2024 and remain
in force until 20th February 2024 (although
it can remain in force for any period up to 6
months if necessary).
(MARK STREET, PADDOCK,
HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY
PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC)
ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the
Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason
of works proposed to be carried out on or
near the road intends not less than seven days
from the date of this Notice to make an Order
the effect of which will be that no person
shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed
in that length of Mark Street, Paddock from
a point outside property no. 29 to a point
outside property no. 19 PROVIDED THAT
such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles
being used in connection with the works to
be carried out on or near the closed length of
road or to vehicles requiring access up to the
point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all
times.
Alternative routes for vehicles affected by
the closure will be available via unaffected
length of Mark Street, School Lane, Market
Street, Church Street, Cross Church Street
and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will commence
on Monday, 12th February 2024 and remain
in force until 13th February 2024 (although
it can remain in force for any period up to 18
months if necessary).
(CAR PARK TOWN END, GOLCAR,
HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY
PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC)
ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the
Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason
of works proposed to be carried out on or
near the road has made an Order the effect of
which will be that no person shall cause or
permit any vehicle to proceed in that length
of Car Park Town End, Golcar from a point
outside property no. 113 to a point outside
property no. 117 PROVIDED THAT such
prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being
used in connection with the works to be
carried out on or near the closed length of
road or to vehicles requiring access up to the
point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all
times.
There is no alternative diversionary route
available. Access maintained for residents
and Emergency Service Vehicles only.
It is intended that the closure will operate on
Sunday, 28th January 2024 between 08:00
- 17:00 hours only (although it can remain
in force for any period up to 18 months if
necessary).
(THOMAS STREET, THORNTON
LODGE, HUDDERSFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF
TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the
Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason
of works proposed to be carried out on or
near the road has made an Order the effect of
which will be that no person shall cause or
permit any vehicle to proceed in that length
of Thomas Street, Thornton Lodge from a
point outside property no. 23 to its junction
with Thorne Road PROVIDED THAT
such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles
being used in connection with the works to
be carried out on or near the closed length of
road or to vehicles requiring access up to the
point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all
times.
Alternative routes for vehicles affected
by the closure will be available via the
unaffected length of Thomas Street, Holly
Road, Moorbottom Road, Thorne Road and
vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will commence
on Monday, 29th January 2023 and remain
in force until 31st January 2024 (although it
can remain in force for any period up to 18
months if necessary).

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the
Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason
of works proposed to be carried out on or
near the road has made an Order the effect of
which will be that no person shall cause or
permit any vehicle to proceed in that length
of Benn Lane, Longwood from its junction
with Grove Street to its junction with Side
Lane PROVIDED THAT such prohibition
shall not extend to vehicles being used in
connection with the works to be carried out
on or near the closed length of road or to
vehicles requiring access up to the point(s)
of the closure.

It is intended that the closure will commence

reason of works proposed to be carried out
on or near the road has made an Order the
effect of which will be that no person shall
cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in
that length of Clough Road/Crimble Clough
Road, Slaithwaite/Bolster Moor from its
junction with Carr Lane to its junction with
Bolster Moor Road PROVIDED THAT
such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles
being used in connection with the works to
be carried out on or near the closed length of
road or to vehicles requiring access up to the
point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all
times.
Alternative routes for vehicles affected by
the closure will be available via Slaithwaite
Gate, Pike Law Road, Swallow Lane, Town
End, Church Street, Knowl Road, James
Street, Brook Lane, Share Hill Road, Lower

It is intended that the closure will commence
on Monday, 29th January 2024 and remain
in force until 5th February 2024 (although it
can remain in force for any period up to 18
months if necessary).
(INGFIELD AVENUE, DALTON,
HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY
PORHIBITION OF TRAFFIC)
ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the
Council of the Borough of Kirklees by
reason of works proposed to be carried out
on or near the road has made an Order the
effect of which will be that no person shall
cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in
that length of Ingfield Avenue, Dalton from
a point outside property no. 32 to its junction
with Grand Cross Road PROVIDED THAT
such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles
being used in connection with the works to
be carried out on or near the closed length of
road or to vehicles requiring access up to the
point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all
times.
Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the
closure will be available via the unaffected
length of Ingfield Avenue, Standiforth Road,
Grand Cross Road and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will commence
on Tuesday, 30th January 2024 and remain
in force until 2nd February 2024 (although it
can remain in force for any period up to 18
months if necessary).

TOWN ROAD, KIRKHEATON,
HUDDERSFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF
TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the
Council of the Borough of Kirklees by
reason of works proposed to be carried out
on or near the road has made an Order the
effect of which will be that no person shall
cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in
the following lengths of road in Kirkheaton,
Huddersfield:-
Road Closures
Heaton Moor Road/Town Road - from its
junction with Moor Top Road to its junction
with Shop Lane
Point Closures
The following roads at their junction with
Town Road:-
Bankfield Lane, New Road, Shop Lane
PROVIDED THAT such prohibition
shall not extend to vehicles being used in
connection with the works to be carried out
on or near the closed length of road or to
vehicles requiring access up to the point(s)
of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all
times.
Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the
closure will be available via Moor Top Road,
Upper Heaton Lane, Bog Green Lane, Dalton
Bank Road, Nettleton Road, Briggate, Long
Lane, Crossley Lane, School Lane, St Mary’s
Lane, Shop Lane and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will commence
on Monday, 29th January 2024 and remain
in force until 9th February 2024 (although it
can remain in force for any period up to 18
months if necessary).
(PLATT LANE/HUDDERSFIELD
NARROW CANAL TOWPATH,
SLAITHWAITE, HUDDERSFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF
TRAFFIC) AND (TEMPORARY
PROHIBITION OF USE) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the
Council of the Borough of Kirklees by
reason of works proposed to be carried out
on or near the road has made an Order the
effect of which will be that no person shall
cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in
the following lengths of road/footpath in
Slaithwaite, Huddersfield:-
Road Closure
Platt Lane - from its junction with New Street
to its junction with Bridge Street
Footpath Closure
Huddersfield Narrow Canal Towpath
- from its junction with Platt
Lane for approximately 50 metres on both
sides of the canal
PROVIDED THAT such prohibition
shall not extend to vehicles being used in
connection with the works to be carried out
on or near the closed length of road or to
vehicles requiring access up to the point(s)
of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all
times for Platt Lane only.
Alternative routes for vehicles/persons
affected by the closure will be available via:-
Platt Lane - via Bridge Street, Britannia
Road, Carr Lane, New Street, Platt Lane and
vice versa;
Huddersfield Narrow Canal Towpath -
via the unaffected length of Huddersfield
Narrow Canal Towpath, through Carr Lane
Car Park, New Street, Platt Lane and vice
versa.
It is intended that the closure will commence
on Monday, 29th January 2024 and remain in
force until 8th March 2024 (although it can
remain in force for any period up to 6 months
if necessary).
