NOTICE OF PUBLIC PATH ORDER
TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990, SECTION 257
WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981, SECTION 53A(2)
PUBLIC FOOTPATH, BCC/6(PT) & BCC/17(PT) PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION AND DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDER (NO 6) 2023
On 18 January 2024, Bristol City Council confirmed the above order. The effect of the order as confirmed is to divert part of the public footpath BCC/6 from:
– grid reference 352843 178569 to grid reference 352870 178608, and from grid reference 352890 178631, in a generally north easterly direction along Ballast Lane to grid reference 353020 178762, then from grid reference 353038 178762, on Access 18, to grid reference 353060 178761
to
– grid reference 352890 178631, in a generally north easterly direction to grid reference 353041 178670, and then in a generally northerly direction to 353020 178762, a total distance of approximately 230 metres with a width of 3 metres throughout; and then from grid reference 353038 178762, on Access 18, in a south easterly direction for 17 metres to grid reference 353046 178753, and then in a north easterly direction for 8 metres to grid reference 353060 178761, a total distance of approximately 25 metres with a width of 3 metres throughout;
and to divert part of public footpath BCC/17 from:
– grid reference 352759 178405, on Avonmouth Way, in a generally north easterly direction to grid reference 352843 178569, a total distance of 227 metres with an unspecified width
to
– grid reference 352678 178397, on Avonmouth Way, in a generally northerly direction for 235 metres to grid reference 352725 178630 then in a generally easterly direction for 151 metres to grid reference 352870 178608, a total distance of approximately 386 metres with a width of 3 metres throughout
as shown on the order map and to modify the definitive map and statement.
A copy of the confirmed order and the order map may be seen free of charge at the offices of Bristol City Council, City Hall, College Green, Bristol BS1 5TR during normal office hours. Copies of the order and map may be purchased there at a price of £1 or may be sent by second class post on receipt of a written request, at a price of £6 to cover the Council’s administrative costs or by request to the e-mail address below.
This order comes into force on the date on which Bristol City Council certify that the terms of Article 2 of the order have been complied with but if any person aggrieved by the order desires to question its validity or that of any provision contained in it on the ground that it is not within the powers of the above Act, or on the ground that any requirement of that Act or any regulation made under it has not been complied with in relation to the confirmation of the order, that person may apply to the High Court for any of these purposes under section 287 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 within 6 weeks from the date on which notice is first published as required by paragraph 7 of Schedule 14 to that Act.
