SOUTH GLOUCESTERSHIRE COUNCIL

Chaingate Lane, Iron Acton and Tanhouse Lane, Yate) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intends to make an order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of road specified in the Schedule to this notice. This order is required for the following reason: in connection with overhead cabling and jointing works. The order will be operative from 22 January 2024 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 2 days duration, between the hours of 9.30am and 3.30pm. Schedule: 1. Chaingate Lane, Iron Acton – from Manor Road to Dyers Lane; 2. Tanhouse Lane, Yate – from North Road to Engine Common Lane Alternative routes – (vice versa): 1. (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles, Foot Passengers, Pedal Cycles and Equestrians) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intends to make an order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles, foot passengers, pedal cycles and equestrians that length of France Lane which extends from A46 north westwards for 50m. This order is required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon stop tap repair works on or adjacent to the highway. The order will be operative from 23 January 2024 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 3 days duration. Alternative route: A46, A4315, B4058, School Road, Wortley Road, Alderley Road, High Street, France Lane and vice versa
(Redfield Hill, Oldland Common) (No.2) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles, Foot Passengers, Pedal Cycles and Equestrians) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended intends to make an order the effect of which will be to close, temporarily, to vehicles, foot passengers, pedal cycles and equestrians that length of Redfield Hill which extends from a point 90m southeast of High Street south eastwards for 100m. This order is required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon new water connection works on or adjacent to the highway. The order will be operative from 22 January 2024 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 3 days duration. Alternative route: Newpit Lane, Golden Valley Road, Bath Road, A4175 and vice versa

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily, to vehicles, foot passengers, pedal cycles and equestrians that length of Cranham Drive which extends from a point 135m north east of Standish Avenue north eastwards for 22 metres. This order was required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon sewer main connection works on or adjacent to the highway. The order became operative from 8 January 2024 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 3 weeks duration. (Footpath and Cycle Path Charnhill Drive to Lower Station Road, Staple Hill and Footpath and Cycle Path Charnhill Drive to Old Mangotsfield Station, Mangotsfield) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Foot Passengers, Pedal Cycles and Equestrians) Order 2023
Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily, to foot passengers, pedal cycles and equestrians that length of Footpath and Cycle Path Charnhill Drive to Lower Station Road and Footpath and Cycle Path Charnhill Drive to Old Mangotsfield Station which extends from A4175 south eastwards for 985m. This order was required for the following reason: in connection with the repair and stabilisation works of Charnhill retaining wall. The order became operative from 8 January 2024 for a maximum period of six months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of a 1 month duration. Alternative route: A4175 footway, Hot Water Lane footway, Foot and Cycle path Hot Water Lane, Foot and Cycle path Hobbs Lane to Old Mangotsfield Staton, Foot and Cycle path Charnhill Drive to Old Mangotsfield Station (part unaffected) and vice versa.
(Seymour Road, Staple Hill) (Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles, Foot Passengers, Pedal Cycles and Equestrians) Order 2023
Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily, to vehicles, foot passengers, pedal cycles and equestrians that length of Seymour Road which extends from Broad Street southwards for 120m. This order was required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon gas main upgrade works on or adjacent to the highway. The order became operative from 8 January 2024 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 2 weeks duration. Alternative route: Broad Street, Lydney Road, Teewell Avenue and vice versa

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily, to vehicles that length of Station Road which extends from A4018 Cribbs Causeway south westwards for 1300m. This order was required for the following reason: in connection with carriageway reconstruction and resurfacing works. The order became operative from 8 January 2024 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 4 weeks duration. Alternative route: Station Road, Henbury Road, Crow Lane, Passage Road, Wyck Beck Road, Cribbs Causeway and vice versa

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily, to foot passengers and pedal cycles that length of Public Footpath LWB/73/20 which extends from Public Footpath LWB/72/10 westwards for 100m. This order was required for the following reason: in connection with retaining wall repair works. The order became operative from 2 January 2024 for a maximum period of six months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 7 weeks duration. Alternative route: Mill Road, LWB/70/10, Church Road, Stone Lane, The Dingle, LWB/72/10 and vice versa

Notice is hereby given that South Gloucestershire District Council in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an order the effect of which has closed, temporarily, to vehicles, foot passengers, pedal cycles and equestrians the lengths of road specified in column 1 of Schedule 1 to this notice. This order was required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon bridge deck refurbishment works on or adjacent to the highway. The order became operative from 2 January 2024 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works. It is anticipated that the works relating to each location will be carried out between the hours of 8pm and 6am on the dates specified in relation to each length of road in column 2 of the said Schedule 1. Pedestrian Diversion Route: Use opposite footway. 2. Non-Motorway Traffic Diversion Route: A38 Gloucester Road Southbound, Hayes Way, Merlin Road, B4055, Over Lane, to A38 Gloucester Road. This order was required for the following reason: in connection with manhole cover repair works. The order became operative from 8 January 2024 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 2 days duration. This order is required for the following reason: in connection with the likelihood of danger to the public consequent upon gas main upgrade works on or adjacent to the highway. The order will be operative from 22 January 2024 for a maximum period of eighteen months. The closure however may not be implemented for the whole of the period but only when traffic signs are in position and only for so long as is necessitated by the works which are anticipated to be of 4 weeks duration. Alternative route: Britannia Road, Kennard Road, Kingsway Crescent, Kingsway, Two Mile Hill Road and vice versa
