What is happening?
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14
KIRKLEES COUNCIL
(MIDWAY, SOUTH CROSLAND, HUDDERSFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC)
ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough
of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or
near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of
this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no
person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length
of Midway, South Crosland from a point outside property no.
44 to a point outside property no. 52 PROVIDED THAT such
prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection
with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length
of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the
closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be
available via the unaffected length of Midway, School Hill, Sandy
Lane, Intake Lane, Arborary Lane, Whitehead Lane, Madgin Lane
and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday, 8th
January 2024 and remain in force until 17th January 2024
(although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months
if necessary).
(LUKE LANE, THONGSBRIDGE, HOLMFIRTH)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC)
ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough
of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or
near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this
Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person
shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Luke
Lane, Thongsbridge from its junction with New Mill Road for
approximately 10 metres PROVIDED THAT such prohibition
shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the
works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to
vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be
available via the unaffected length of Luke Lane, Springwood
Road, New Mill Road, Holmfirth Road, Huddersfield Road and
vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday, 8th
January 2024 and remain in force until 9th February 2024
(although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months
if necessary).
(OLDFIELD ROAD, HONLEY, HOLMFIRTH)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC)
ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough
of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or
near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of
this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no
person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length
of Oldfield Road, Honley from a point outside property no. 53
to a point outside property no. 95 PROVIDED THAT such
prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection
with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length
of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the
closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be
available via the unaffected length of Oldfield Road, Cross Lane,
Bradshaw Road, Long Lane and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will commence on Tuesday, 9th
January 2024 and remain in force until 10th January 2024
(although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months
if necessary).
(COTE LANE, HOLMFIRTH) (TEMPORARY
PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough
of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or
near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this
Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person
shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Cote
Lane, Holmfirth from a point outside Cote Cottage to its junction
with Choppards Lane PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall
not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to
be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles
requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be
available via the unaffected length of Cote Lane, Greave Road,
Dunford Road, Choppards Bank Road and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will commence on Tuesday, 9th
January 2024 and remain in force until 10th January 2024
(although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months
if necessary).
(HIGHROYD, LEPTON, HUDDERSFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC)
ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough
of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or
near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this
Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person
shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of
Highroyd, Lepton from its junction with Highgate Lane to a point
outside property no. 1A PROVIDED THAT such prohibition
shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the
works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to
vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be
available via Highgate Lane, Ings Way, Highroyd and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will commence on Tuesday, 9th
January 2024 and remain in force until 11th January 2024
(although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months
if necessary).
(DRY HILL LANE, DENBY DALE, HUDDERSFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC)
ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough
of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or
near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this
Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person
shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Dry
Hill Lane, Denby Dale from a point outside property no. 3 to a
point outside property no. 5 PROVIDED THAT such prohibition
shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the
works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to
vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be
available via the unaffected length of Dry Hill Lane, Barnsley
Road, Miller Hill, Cuckstool Road, Hollin Edge, Common Lane,
Clough House Lane and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will commence on Wednesday,
10th January 2024 and remain in force until 12th January 2024
(although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months
if necessary).
(JOHN WILLIAM STREET, HUDDERSFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC)
ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough
of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or
near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this
Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person
shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in the following
length of road in Huddersfield:-
Road Closure
John William Street - from its junction with St John’s Road to its
junction with Viaduct Street
One Way Traffic
John William Street - in a northerly direction from its junction
with Railway Street to its junction with St George’s Square
(southbound traffic unaffected)
PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles
being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or
near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to
the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be
available via the following routes:-
Diversion 1 - via John William Street, Westgate, Trinity Street,
Castlegate, St John’s Road;
Diversion 2 - via John William Street, Castlegate, Unna Way,
Southgate, Shorehead Roundabout, Southgate, Viaduct Street.
It is intended that the closure will commence at 22:00 hours on
Monday, 8th January 2024 and remain in force until 06:00 hours
on 9th January 2024 only (although it can remain in force for any
period up to 18 months if necessary).
(FLEMINGHOUSE LANE, WATERLOO/ALMONDBURY,
HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF
TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough
of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or
near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this
Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person
shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of
Fleminghouse Lane, Waterloo/Almondbury from its junction with
Wakefield Road to its junction with Southfield Road PROVIDED
THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in
connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed
length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of
the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be
available via Wakefield Road, Penistone Road, Southfield Road
and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday, 8th
January 2024 and remain in force until 16th January 2024
(although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months
if necessary).
(RAILWAY STREET/NORTHUMBERLAND STREET/
ST GEORGE’S SQUARE/NEW NORTH PARADE,
HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF
EXISTING PARKING RESTRICTIONS) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough
of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or
near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this
Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person
shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed to park/wait at any
time in those lengths of road in Huddersfield as follows:-
Road - Revoked - Replace with
Railway Street - Existing “No parking at any time except Taxis” & 30 minutes
Loading” - No parking at any time except buses
St George’s Square - Existing car club bays & existing blue badge parking - Existing car club bays converted to blue badge parking (4 bays closest to
Head of Steam pub) and existing blue badge parking (total 3 bays closest to station entrance) to Disabled Pick up and Drop Off.
New North Parade - Existing Pay & Display and Taxi bays - Existing Pay & Display layout revised to echelon bays (3 Pay & Display bays outside
properties 4-8 suspended). Existing Pay & Display and Taxi bays (nearest Westgate) replaced with 15 minutes no return within 30 minutes Pick up and Drop Off.
Northumberland Street - Bus Access - To include “and Authorised
Vehicles” specifically for“HGV’s requiring access for TRU & Gh construction work
PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles
being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or
near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to
the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times.
It is intended that the closure will commence on Monday, 8th
January 2024 and remain in force until 8th July 2025 (although it
can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary).
