What is happening?

The alternative route for vehicles is via A1307 – Conington Road,
Conington – Conington Road, Fenstanton – Conington Road (C81) and
vice versa. For Conington Road, Elsworth is via Elsworth Road, Conington –
Conington Road – Conington Road, Fenstanton Conington Road (C81) –
A1307 – High Street, Boxworth – Elsworth Road and vice versa.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate carriageway repairs and
associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and
it will come into operation on 8 January 2024 and continue until these
works have finished or on the 7 July 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is
anticipated that these works will be carried out between 07:00hrs and
19:00hrs 8 January to 31 March 2024.
Webbs Road, West Wicken (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH
TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-099
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Webbs Road, West Wicken
as lies between Dean Road and Streetly End.
The alternative route for vehicles is via Dean Road – Balsham Road –
High Street Southern Spur – Horseheath Road – Streetly End (C243).
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate water meter replacement
and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway
and it will come into operation on 8 January 2024 and continue until these
works have finished or on the 7 July 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is
anticipated that these works will be carried out between 8 January and
11 January 2024.
Newmarket Road, Stow Cum Quy (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE)
ORDER 2024-102
Is to stop any pedestrian from proceeding along Newmarket Road,
Stow Cum Quy as lies between St Marys Church and Little Wilbraham
Road.
The alternative route for pedestrians will be as signed.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate telecommunications and
associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and
it will come into operation on 12 January 2024 and continue until these
works have finished or on the 11 July 2024 whichever is the earlier. It is
anticipated that these works will be carried out between 12 January and
16 January 2024.
Brookside, Cambridge (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH
TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-103
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Brookside, Cambridge as lies
between Bateman Street and Pemberton Terrace.
The alternative route for vehicles is via Bateman Street – A1134 – A603 –
Brookside.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate tree works and associated
works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come
into operation on 5 January 2024 and continue until these works have
finished or on the 4 July 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated
that these works will be carried out between 08:00hrs and 16:00hrs
5 January 2024.
High Street, East Chesterton (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH
TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-104
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along High Street, East Chesterton
as lies between Union Lane and Church Street.
The alternative route for vehicles is via A1134 – A1309 – Green End Road
– High Street and vice versa.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate electrical connection and
associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and
it will come into operation on 7 January 2024 and continue until these
works have finished or on the 6 July 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is
anticipated that these works will be carried out between 08:00hrs and
17:00hrs 7 January 2024.
High Street, Over (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)
ORDER 2024-110
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along High Street, Over as lies
between number 72 and Church End/Horse Ware junction.
The alternative route for vehicles is via Church End – Station Road –
Over Road, Swavesey – Station Road (C186) – High Street – Middle Watch
– Boxworth End – A1307 – B1050 – Over Road, Willingham – Willingham
Road – Willingham Road, Over – High Street and vice versa.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate electrical cabling and
associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and
it will come into operation on 2 January and 8 January 2024 and continue
until these works have finished or on the 1 July 2025 whichever is the
earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between
2 January and 8 January 2024.
Hills Road, Cambridge (TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF CYCLE LANE)
ORDER 2024-164
Will be to temporarily suspend the cycle lane on Hills Road, Cambridge as
lies between numbers 189 and 207.
During the period this Order remains in force The City of Cambridge Area G
(Consolidation) Order 1993, Schedule 22 – Dual use Cycle Track Hills
Road – The footway on its west side from its junction with Luard Road to
a point 38 metres north of its junction with Purbeck Road. Schedule 23 –
Cycle Lanes Part 2 – mandatory with flow cycle lane Hills Road – On its
east side from a point 57 metres north of its junction with Elsworth Place
to a point 110 metres north of its junction with Queen Edith’s Way. Hills
Road – On its west side from its junction with Long Road to a point 38
metres north of its junction with Purbeck Road is hereby suspended.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate new electrical connection
and associated works which are being carried out on or near the cycle
lane and it will come into operation on 9 January 2024 and continue until
these works have finished or on the 8 July 2025 whichever is the earlier.
This Order shall be in force when the signs are in place at each end of the
above section of road whilst works taking place on Hills Road, Cambridge
are in progress. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out
between 9 January and 15 January 2024.
Fulbourn Old Drift, Teversham (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH
TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-070
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Fulbourn Old Drift, Teversham
as lies between Berwick Primary School and Gazelle Way.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate electrical ducting and
associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and
it will come into operation on 3 January 2024 and continue until these
works have finished or on the 2 July 2025 whichever is the earlier. It is
anticipated that these works will be carried out between 3 January and
21 January 2024.
Girton Road, Cambridge (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH
TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-078
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Girton Road, Cambridge
as lies between the A1307 and St Margarets Road.
The alternative route for vehicles is via A1307 – Dry Drayton Road,
Oakington – Cambridge Road – Oakington Road, Oakington – Oakington
Road, Girton – High Street – Cambridge Road – Girton Road and
vice versa.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate ducting installation,
resurfacing, white lining and associated works which are being carried out
on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 8 January 2024
and continue until these works have finished or on the 7 July 2025
whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried
out between 20:00hrs and 06:00hrs 8 January to 15 March 2024.
Fulbourn Old Drift, Teversham (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF USE)
ORDER 2024-169
