Highways Notice
NOTICE OF TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC –
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – Fallibroome
Road (Southbound), Macclesfield
Notice is hereby given that the Cheshire East Borough Council
in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic
Regulation Act 1984, and of all other enabling powers proposes
to make an order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit
traffic southbound only.
Prohibition of traffic – Fallibroome Road (Southbound),
Macclesfield – From the junction with Dalesford Crescent to
Broken Cross Roundabout.
The alternative route will be via Fallibroome Road, Victoria Road,
Prestbury Road, Cumberland Street Roundabout, Cumberland Street,
Chester Road, Ivy Road Roundabout, Broken Cross, Broken Cross
Roundabout which is considered the most suitable route.
This order will come into operation on Saturday 17 February 2024
and will continue in force for 18 months or for such less time as
is necessary to complete the work to be executed in the highway,
although it is anticipated that the works will be completed by
Sunday 25 February 2024.

of Way and Affecting the Setting of a Listed Building
Application No: 23/4152M Applicant: Cheshire East Council
Location: The Dam Embankment of Poynton Pool Reservoir,
Poynton Park, London Road North (B5092), Poynton Proposal:
The proposed removal of low points along approximately 480m
of the Poynton Pool dam embankment and slightly raising the
level of crest to increase the flood resilience of the reservoir.
A kerb alongside an enhanced footpath will create the crest level
and the works will also include the creation of two 40m wide
clearings, to further increase flood resilience.
