What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14
KIRKLEES COUNCIL

(CLOUGH ROAD, SLAITHWAITE,
HUDDERSFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF
TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the
Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of
works proposed to be carried out on or near the
road intends not less than seven days from the
date of this Notice to make an Order the effect
of which will be that no person shall cause or
permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of
Clough Road, Slaithwaite from a point outside
property no. 22 to a point outside property no.
24 PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall
not extend to vehicles being used in connection
with the works to be carried out on or near the
closed length of road or to vehicles requiring
access up to the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all
times.
Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the
closure will be available via Crimble Clough
Road, Clough Road, Bolstermoor Road,
Bank End Road, Copley Bank Road, Lower
Wellhouse Road, Radcliffe Road, Clough Road
and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will operate on
Saturday, 16th December 2023 between 08:00
- 18:00 hours only (although it can remain
in force for any period up to 18 months if
necessary).
(JUDY LANE, FIXBY, HUDDERSFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF
TRAFFIC) (NO. 2) ORDER 2023
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the
Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of
works proposed to be carried out on or near the
road intends not less than seven days from the
date of this Notice to make an Order the effect
of which will be that no person shall cause or
permit any vehicle to proceed in that length
of Judy Lane, Fixby from its junction with
Bradford Road to its junction with Netheroyd
Hill Road PROVIDED THAT such prohibition
shall not extend to vehicles being used in
connection with the works to be carried out on
or near the closed length of road or to vehicles
requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all
times.
Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the
closure will be available via Bradford Road,
Netheroyd Hill Road and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will commence
on Monday, 18th December 2023 and remain
in force until 22nd December 2023 (although
it can remain in force for any period up to 18
months if necessary).
(DARK LANE, ALMONDBURY,
HUDDERSFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF
TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the
Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of
works proposed to be carried out on or near the
road intends not less than seven days from the
date of this Notice to make an Order the effect
of which will be that no person shall cause or
permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of
Dark Lane, Almondbury from its junction with
Birks Lane to its junction with Westwood Court
PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not
extend to vehicles being used in connection with
the works to be carried out on or near the closed
length of road or to vehicles requiring access up
to the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all
times.
Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the
closure will be available via Birks Lane, Fenay
Lane, Northgate, St Helen’s Gate, Dark Lane
and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will commence
Monday, 18th December 2023 and remain in
force until 22nd December 2023 (although it
can remain in force for any period up to 18
months if necessary).
(GROSVENOR ROAD, DALTON,
HUDDERSFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF
TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the
Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of
works proposed to be carried out on or near the
road intends not less than seven days from the
date of this Notice to make an Order the effect
of which will be that no person shall cause or
permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of
Grosvenor Road, Dalton from its junction with
Kingston Avenue to its junction with Henley
Croft PROVIDED THAT such prohibition
shall not extend to vehicles being used in
connection with the works to be carried out on
or near the closed length of road or to vehicles
requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all
times.
Alternative routes for vehicles affected by
the closure will be available via the following
routes:-
Diversion 1 - the unaffected length of Grosvenor
Road, Dyson Street, Grand Cross Road;
Diversion 2 - Kingston Avenue, Teddington
Avenue, Eton Avenue, the unaffected length of
Grosvenor Road.
It is intended that the closure will operate on
Sunday, 17th December 2023 between 08:00
- 16:30 hours only (although it can remain
in force for any period up to 18 months if
necessary).
(TAYLOR HILL ROAD, TAYLOR HILL,
HUDDERSFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF
TRAFFIC) ORDER 2023
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the
Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason
of works proposed to be carried out on or near
the road has made an Order the effect of which
will be that no person shall cause or permit
any vehicle to proceed in that length of Taylor
Hill Road, Taylor Hill from its junction with
Chapel Street to a point outside property no. 45
PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not
extend to vehicles being used in connection with
the works to be carried out on or near the closed
length of road or to vehicles requiring access up
to the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all
times.
Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the
closure will be available via Taylor Hill Road,
Fair Lea Road, Stoney Cross Street and vice
versa.
It is intended that the closure will commence
on Monday, 4th December 2023 and remain in
force until 8th December 2023 (although it can
remain in force for any period up to 18 months
if necessary).
(TOMMY LANE/ROYD HOUSE LANE,
LINTHWAITE, HUDDERSFIELD)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF
TRAFFIC) (NO. 2) ORDER 2023
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the
Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason
of works proposed to be carried out on or near
the road has made an Order the effect of which
will be that no person shall cause or permit any
vehicle to proceed in the following lengths of
road in Linthwaite:-
Tommy Lane - from its junction with Royd
House Lane to Gilroyd Lane
Royd House Lane - from a point outside
property no. 205 to a point outside property
no. 187
PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not
extend to vehicles being used in connection with
the works to be carried out on or near the closed
length of road or to vehicles requiring access up
to the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all
times.
Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the
closure will be available via the unaffected
length of Royd House Lane, Causeway Side,
Gillroyd Lane, the unaffected length of Tommy
Lane and vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will commence
on Tuesday, 5th December 2023 and remain in
force until 6th December 2023 (although it can
remain in force for any period up to 18 months
if necessary).
(MAIN GATE, HEPWORTH,
HOLMFIRTH) (TEMPORARY
PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC)
ORDER 2023
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the
Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason
of works proposed to be carried out on or near
the road has made an Order the effect of which
will be that no person shall cause or permit any
vehicle to proceed in that length of Main Gate,
Hepworth from a point outside “Edgeworth” to
a point outside property no. 71 PROVIDED
THAT such prohibition shall not extend to
vehicles being used in connection with the
works to be carried out on or near the closed
length of road or to vehicles requiring access up
to the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all
times.
Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the
closure will be available via the unaffected
length of Main Gate, Town Gate, Butt Lane,
Hepworth Road, East Street, Chapel Bank,
Sheffield Road, Gate Head Lane, Barnside
Lane, the unaffected length of Main Gate and
vice versa.
It is intended that the closure will commence
on Tuesday, 5th December 2023 and remain in
force until 11th December 2023 (although it can
remain in force for any period up to 18 months
if necessary).
(PUBLIC FOOTPATH COL/220/10
& COL/247/20, MARSDEN,
HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY
PROHIBITION OF USE) ORDER 2023
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the
Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason
of works proposed to be carried out on or near
the footpath has made an Order the effect of
which will be that no person shall proceed in
that length of Public Footpath COL/220/10
& COL/247/20, Marsden from its junction
with Pennine Way to its junction with Blakely
Clough PROVIDED THAT such prohibition
shall not extend to persons carrying out the
proposed works.
Alternative routes for persons affected by the
closure will be available via the footpath east
past Wessenden Lodge, south across Wessenden
Reservoir, then south west towards Blakely
Clough and vice versa.
The closure which came into operation on
Friday, 1st September 2023 has been extended
to remain in force for a further period until 10th
January 2024 (although it can remain in force
for any period up to 6 months if necessary).
