Highways Notice
NOTICE OF TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC – ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – Springe Lane, Baddiley and Swanley Lane, Burland & Acton
Notice is hereby given that the Cheshire East Borough Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and of all other enabling powers proposes to make an order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic.
Prohibition of traffic – Springe Lane, Baddiley – For the full extent.
Swanley Lane, Burland & Acton – For the full extent.
The alternative route will be via Springe Lane, Nantwich Road, Wrenbury Road, Cholmondeley Road, Baddiley Lane, Swanley Lane and vice versa which is considered the most suitable route.
This order will come into operation on Monday 8 January 2023 and will continue in force for 18 months or for such less time as is necessary to complete the work to be executed in the highway, although it is anticipated that the works will be completed by Friday 2 February 2024.

Notice is hereby given that the Cheshire East Borough Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and of all other enabling powers proposes to make an order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic.
Prohibition of traffic – Rope Lane, Wistaston (Northbound) – From the junction of Springfield Drive to the junction of Crewe Road.
Brookland Avenue, Wistaston (Southbound) – For its full extent.
No left turn Prohibition – Springfield Drive, Wistaston – From Springfield Drive onto Rope Lane.
The alternative route 1 will be via Rope Lane, Main Road, Newcastle Road, Roundabout A500 Cheerbrook, Nantwich Bypass, Nantwich Road Roundabout, Crewe Road and vice versa which is considered the most suitable route.
The alternative route 2 will be via Crewe Road, Church Lane, Park Drive and vice versa which is considered the most suitable route.
This order will come into operation on Monday 8 January 2024 and will continue in force for 18 months or for such less time as is necessary to complete the work to be executed in the highway, although it is anticipated that the works will be completed by Friday 9 February 2024.
