Derby City Council has made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
(as amended) to prohibit use of the roads by traffic.
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE ORDER ON MORLEDGE, DERBY
WHEN: 20 November 2023 to 26 November 20023 (23:00 to 06:00) WHERE: Morledge, from its junction
with The Cock Pitt to its junction with the exit from The Cock Pitt Car Park – a distance of approximately

with Stockbrook Park entrance. Closed from No 294 to No 320, an approximate distance of 50 metres.
REASON: Telecom works ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Dean Street – Bramfield Avenue – Boyer Street – Abbey
Street and the same in the opposite direction
TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE ORDER ON MOOR LANE
TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF THE RIGHT TURN LANE ON OSMASTON PARK ROAD, DERBY
WHEN: 11 December 2023 to 12 December 2023 (09:30 to 15:30) WHERE: Moor Lane, from its junction
with Osmaston Park Road to the entrance of Moorways Sports Complex – a distance of approximately
90 metres. Osmaston Park Road, suspend the right turn lane onto Moor Lane. REASON: Carriageway
resurfacing ALTERNATIVE ROUTE: Osmaston Park Road – Victory Road – Moor Lane and Osmaston Park
Road – Osmaston Road – Merrill Way – Elm Wood Road – Moor Lane
Access will be maintained, whenever reasonably possible, on the affected length of road. The road will

Derby City Council has made these Traffic Regulation Orders on 16th November 2023, which come into
effect on 20th November 2023 under Sections 1, 2, 4, 9, 32, 35, 45, 46, 47, 49, 53 and part IV of
Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and under the Traffic Management Act 2004 and after
consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Part III if schedule 9 to the 1984 Act.
The purpose of the Orders will be to introduce:
Permit Holders Only (At Any Time)
The full extent of the road, except existing No Waiting At Any Time on:
• Dickinson Street, Clifford Street, Selborne Street, Beverley Street, Warwick Street, Taylor Street,
Archer Street, Gloster Street, Bowmer Road, Eton Street, Ellesmere Avenue, Rugby Street.
Permit Holders Only (At Any Time)
In marked bays:
• Deadman’s Lane, on the east side of the road from the rear entrance of 5 Dickinson Street to outside
44 Deadman’s Lane and London Road from property 843 to 855.
Revocation of Prohibition of Driving of Motor Vehicles Except for Access
• Dickinson Street, Clifford Street, Selborne Street, Beverley Street, Warwick Street, Taylor Street,
Archer Street, Gloster Street, Bowmer Road, Ellesmere Avenue.
With the following modifications:
Limited Waiting (2 Hour No Return within 1 Hour) (Mon – Sat 8am – 6pm) (Permit Holder Exemption)
• London Road from outside property 617 to 649, London Road from outside property 657 to 701,
London Road from outside property 726 to 766, London Road from outside property 773 to 797.
No Waiting at Any Time
• Deadman’s Lane on the west side for approximately 25m, joining up the two existing sections of
No Waiting At Any Time
Revocation of No Waiting at Any Time
• London Road from property 647 for approximately 8m
Copies of the Orders and a copy of the Authority’s Statement of Reasons for making the Orders, may be
inspected online at https://www.derby.gov.uk/tro
Anyone wishing to question the validity of the Orders on the grounds that it is outside the powers of the
Acts or because it does not comply with any requirement or regulations made under it, may, within six
weeks of the date of the Orders, apply to the High Court for this purpose.
