Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Section 14(1), As Amended By The Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991

Kent County Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to temporarily close Public Footpath EE368 between Betteshanger Road and the pumping station from the 15 November 2023.

The path will be closed for a maximum of six months.

The path is to be closed because works are planned on or near it.

The alternative route is via the adjacent track and will be signed for the duration of the closure.

(PUBLIC FOOTPATH KM209 (PART) YALDING)
PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION AND DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDER 2023

The above Order was made on the 18th day of October 2023 under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 and will Divert: The entire width of that length of Public Footpath KM209 commencing from a point on Emmet Hill Lane (D621) situated to the south of the property shown as Brickfield Cottages, Laddingford in the Parish of Yalding at NGR TQ 6982 4785 (Point B) and running for approximately 111 metres in a generally westerly through west-south westerly direction to NGR TQ 6971 4783 (Point A) and the connection with the unaffected length of the path. As shown between the points B and A on the Order Plan. And will provide: A new length of Footpath to be numbered KM209 and with a width of 3.0 metres, commencing at a new point on Emmet Hill Lane (D621) NGR TQ 6980 4775 (Point C) approximately 110 metres to the south of the aforementioned Point B and running for approximately 126 metres in a generally north-westerly direction to rejoin the unaffected length of the path at the afore mentioned Point A NGR TQ 6971 4783. Between the points C and A on the Order Plan.

All distances are approximate, all directions are general.

Please note that objections/representations cannot be treated as confidential and may come into the public domain. Copies of any objections or representations received may be disclosed to interested parties, including the Planning Inspectorate should the case be referred to it for determination.

If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, the Kent County Council may confirm the Orders as unopposed Orders. If the Orders are sent to the Secretary of State for the Environment for confirmation any representations and objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the Orders.

 

Notice of extension of an Order temporarily closing Public Bridleways KM344, KM345 and KM346 in the Parish of Barming

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 Section 14(1), As Amended By The Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991

The Secretary of State for Transport has directed that the Order made by Kent County Council on the 5 November 2021 and subsequently extended until 1 November 2023, the effect of which was to prohibit all traffic from Public Bridleways KM344, KM345 and KM346 has been extended until the 30 June 2026.

Public Bridleway KM344 is closed between NGR TQ728555 and NGR TQ727555, Public Bridleway KM345 is closed between NGR TG727552 and NGR TQ 725253 and Public Bridleway KM346 is closed between NGR TQ 728555 and NGR TQ724553

The alternative routes will be signed for the duration of the closure.

KENT COUNTY COUNCIL (PUBLIC FOOTPATH SR156 SEAL) PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION AND DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT ORDER 2023

The above Order was made on the 18th day of October 2023 under section 119 of the Highways Act 1980 and will divert: The entire width of that length of Public Footpath SR156 commencing from its connection with Public Footpaths MT12A and SR156A, 60 metres west of Riding Lane at NGR TQ5695 5113 (Point C) and running for 383 metres in a north-westerly direction to NGR TQ5659 5125 (point B) then running for 49 metres in a south westerly direction to its junction with the unaffected length of path at NGR TQ5665 5123 (Point A). As shown between the points C, B and A on the Order Plan. And will provide: A new length of Public Footpath to be numbered SR156 and with a width of 2.5 metres measured from the boundary fence, commencing from the afore mentioned Point A TQ5665 5123 and running adjacent to the hedge and boundary fencing south-south easterly for 126 metres to NGR TQ5664 5115 (Point D) to then follow the boundary fence to the northern edge of the woodland for 31 metres in an east-south-easterly direction (Point E) NGR TQ5667 5113 then easterly for 128 metres in an easterly direction to NGR TQ5680 5113 (Point F) and then for 29 metres in a south easterly direction, then south for 19 metres and then south east for 9 metres to join Public Footpath SR156A at NGR TR 0219 3771 (Point G) NGR TQ5684 5109. As shown between the points A, D, E, F and G on the Order.

NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF PUBLIC PATH ORDER

(PUBLIC FOOTPATH SR620 (PART), EDENBRIDGE)
PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION AND DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT MODIFICATION ORDER 2023

On 16 October 2023, the Kent County Council confirmed the above Order under Section 119 of the Highways Act 1980.

The effect of that Order, as confirmed,is to divert the entire width of that length of public footpath numbered SR620, which commences on an unaffected length of public footpath SR620 at NGR TQ 4504 4753 (point A) and runs south-east then east south-east for 46 metres to its connection with another unaffected length of public footpath SR620 at NGR TQ 4509 4752 (point B), as shown by a bold continuous line between points A-B on the Order plan, and it is to add a new length of public numbered SR620, which commences at the aforementioned point A and runs east, then east south-east, then south south-east for 47 metres to the aforementioned point B, as shown by a bold broken line between the points A-C-B on the Order plan.  The new path will have a width of 2 metres except for where it enters and exits the car park, where there will be a gap of 1 metre in the fencing at point A and a limitation of a gate with an opening width of 1.2 metres where the path exits the car park at point C.

The Order comes into force on 16 October 2023, but if a person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Highways Act 1980, as amended, or on the ground that any requirement of the Act, as amended, or of any regulation made under the Act which has not been complied with in relation to the Order, he or she may under Paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 to the Act as applied by Paragraph 5 of Schedule 6 to the Act, within 6 weeks from the 27 October 2023, make an application to the High Court.

Notice of extension of an Order temporarily closing Public Footpath ZR46 in the Parish of Lower Halstow

In The Borough of Swale

(Prohibition Of Traffic) Temporary Order 2022

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 Section 14(1), As Amended By The Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991

The Secretary of State for Transport has directed that the Order made by Kent County Council on the 01 May 2022, the effect of which was to prohibit all traffic from Public Footpath ZR46 has been extended for a further year, until the 31 October 2024

The path is closed between the northwest corner of the horse paddocks and the southern boundary of the horse paddocks.

The alternative route is around the edge of the building compound and turning area and will be signed for the duration of the closure.
