What is happening?

(Beehive Lane, Great Baddow) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Beehive Lane, Great Baddow in the City of Chelmsford, from a point approximately 45m south west of its junction with Winchelsea Drive for a distance of approximately 30m in a south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 13th November 2023 for 1 night (19:00-23:00), or where stated on a valid permit (AD037RO62634152 – Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while sewer cover replacement works are undertaken by Anglian Water.
An alternative route is available via Beehive Lane, Baddow Road, Army and Navy Roundabout, Van Diemans Road, Princes Road, Princes Road Roundabout, Princes Road, Wood Street Roundabout, Wood Street, Galleywood Road, Stock Road, Beehive Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 26th October 2023 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing
and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while sewer cover replacement works are undertaken by Anglian Water.

(The Causeway, Writtle) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of The Causeway, Writtle in the City of Chelmsford, from a point approximately 845m south west of its junction with Highwood Road Roundabout for a distance of approximately 90m in a south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 19th November 2023 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC008FBA1486RLA01 – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole construction works are undertaken by Openreach.
An alternative route is available via The Causeway, Highwood Road, Loves Green, Blackmore Road, Chelmsford Road, The Green, Nine Ashes Road, Rookery Road, Chelmsford Road Straightening, Ongar Road, Ongar Road West, Highwood Road Roundabout, The Causeway and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 26th October 2023 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Chelmer Road, Boreham)
(Temporary Introduction of a 40mph Speed Limit) Order 2023
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily introduce a 40mph speed limit in that length of Chelmer Road, Boreham in the City of Chelmsford, from a point approximately 280m north east of its junction with Northbound Slip From Springfield Road To A138 to Boreham Bypass a distance of approximately 770m (Northbound only).
2. To temporarily introduce a 40mph speed limit in that length of Eastbound Slip from Chelmer Road To Boreham/Generals Lane Roundabout, Boreham in the City of Chelmsford, from its junction with Boreham Bypass to its junction with A12 Slip a distance of approximately 120m.
The speed reduction is scheduled to commence on 18th November 2023 for 280 nights (00:05-23:55), or where stated on a valid permit (EP02231009382 – Avery Traffic Consultants Ltd). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The speed reduction is required for the safety of the public and workforce while railway works are undertaken by Avery Traffic Consultants Ltd.
The Order will come into effect on 26th October 2023 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Hall Lane, Sandon) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Hall Lane, Sandon in the City of Chelmsford, from its junction with Woodhill Road to its junction with Cards Road a distance of approximately 215m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 14th November 2023 for 15 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30015754306 – UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while duct installation works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.

(Ingatestone Road, Stock) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Ingatestone Road, Stock in the City of Chelmsford, from a point approximately 560m north east the north west of its junction with Buttsbury for a distance of approximately 60m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 13th November 2023 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC008FAA1482K – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole renewal works are undertaken by Openreach.
An alternative route is available via Ingatestone Road, Stock Road, High Street, Stock Road, Stock Road A12 Flyover, Stock Road, Galleywood Road, Wood Street, Wood Street Roundabout, London Road, Writtle Bypass Roundabout, Three Mile Hill, Three Mile Hill Roundabout, Link Between Three Mile Hill Roundabout and Whites Place Roundabout, Whites Place Roundabout, Main Road, High Street, Stock Lane, Ingatestone Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 26th October 2023 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Paddock Drive, Springfield) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Paddock Drive, Springfield in the City of Chelmsford, from its junction with New Nabbotts Way to its junction with Carriage Drive a distance of approximately 55m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 13th November 2023 for 19 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AZ5011001273308 – Cadent). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while mains replacement works are undertaken by Cadent.
An alternative route is available via Pump Lane, New Nabbotts Way and vice versa (with access only into Paddock Drive).
The Order will come into effect on 26th October 2023 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Ship Road, West Hanningfield in the City of Chelmsford, from a point approximately 350m north east then south east of its junction with Stock Road for a distance of approximately 25m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 16th November 2023 for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC411SAWD7V136W001 – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole replacement works are undertaken by Openreach.
An alternative route is available via Ship Road, Kents Farm Lane, Lower Stock Road, Downham Road, Stock Road, Ship Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 26th October 2023 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(A13 Pitsea Bypass, Pitsea Vange Bypass, Fobbing)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close that length of A13 Pitsea Bypass, Pitsea/Vange Bypass, Fobbing in the Borough of Basildon, from the point where the eastbound on slip from Broadway Link Roundabout is to the Thurrock District Border a distance of approximately 3400m in both directions.
2. To temporarily close the on-slip road, from the Broadway Link Roundabout onto the A13 Pitsea Bypass a distance of approximately 240m.
3. To temporarily close the on slip from Five Bells Roundabout North to the A13 Vange Bypass a distance of approximately 330m.
The closures are scheduled to commence on 19th October 2023 for 2 nights (20:00-05:00), or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2352739 & EP201EH2352818 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closures are required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway repairs works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
An alternative route is available via Five Bells Roundabout North, Nether Mayne, Fobbing Farm Roundabout, Roundacre New Roundabout, Roundacre, Broadmayne Roundabout, Broadmayne, Mopsies Roundabout, South Mayne, Broadway Link Roundabout, Pitsea Bypass and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 12th October 2023 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Hawk Hill, Rettendon) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Hawk Hill, Rettendon in the City of Chelmsford, from a point approximately 100m north west of its junction with Hawk Lane for a distance of approximately 40m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 30th October 2023 for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (KL733WIS-31-36-30102023 – Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while vegetation management works are undertaken by Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd.
An alternative route is available via Hawk Hill, Chelmsford Road, Battlesbridge Bypass, A130 New Bypass Roundabout and vice versa.

(New Street, Chelmsford) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2023
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of New Street, Chelmsford in the City of Chelmsford, from a point approximately 60m north of its junction Victoria Road for a distance of approximately 85m in a northerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 4th November 2023 for 1 night (22:00-06:00), or where stated on a valid permit (KL721LTN1-29-79-041123 – Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while bridge repair works are undertaken by Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd.
An alternative route is available via New Street, Victoria Road, Duke Street, Victoria Road South, Parkway Roundabout Victoria Road South, Parkway, Broomfield Road, Rectory Lane, New Street Roundabout, New Street and vice versa.

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Clearway &
Temporary Introduction of 30mph Speed Limit) (No.5) Order 2023
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close those lengths of road in the City of Chelmsford & District of Maldon as specified in the schedule to this Order.
2. A temporary ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping’ restriction will be introduced on both sides of carriageway on those lengths of road specified in the schedule for the duration of the closures to facilitate the works. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping restriction will be in force.
3. To temporarily introduce a 30mph speed limit in those lengths of road as specified in the schedule.
“The Essex County Council (Chelmsford City) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019” will be temporarily amended to include the temporary ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping at Any Time’ restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above length of road only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.
“The Essex County Council (Maldon District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019” will be temporarily amended to include the temporary ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping at Any Time” restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above lengths of roads only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.
The works being undertaken will take place within an 18-month period from 12th October 2023, exact dates will be specified on http://roadworks.org/. The road will be closed to facilitate each phase of works and then re-opened to the public. Access will be maintained for emergency services. Diversion routes will be signed at each location and residents will be informed of the dates of each phase via letter / leaflet drop and advanced warning signs on the road.
