What is happening?

THE KINGSTON UPON HULL CITY COUNCIL

(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC)
ORDERS 2023
GILLETT STREET
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Kingston upon Hull City Council by
virtue of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 has
today made an Order.
The effect of the Order is to prohibit any person with a vehicle from
proceeding along Gillett Street outside Turbo Systems, Kingston upon
Hull.
The purpose of the Order is to ensure the safety of the public and
operatives during works to install new telecoms pole and cable.
The alternative route for vehicles will be signed on the days.
Access will be maintained for emergency services.
The Order will come into effect 25th October 2023 and may continue
in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works
which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is
the earlier.
It is anticipated, however, that the works will be completed in a period
of approximately 4 days.

CLIFFORD AVENUE (PART)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Kingston upon Hull City Council by
virtue of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 has
today made an Order.
The effect of the Order is to prohibit any person with or without a vehicle
from proceeding along Clifford Avenue, outside number 44, former
church, Kingston upon Hull.
The purpose of the Order is to ensure the safety of the public and
operatives during works to install a new water supply.
The alternative route for vehicles will be signed on the days.
The Order will come into effect 23rd October 2023 and may continue
in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works
which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is
the earlier.
It is anticipated, however, that the works will be completed in a period
of approximately 5 days.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Kingston upon Hull City Council by
virtue of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 has
today made an Order.
The effect of the Order is to prohibit any person with a vehicle from
proceeding along Barnstaple Road, Kingston upon Hull.
The purpose of the Order is to ensure the safety of the public and
operatives during carriageway repair works.
The alternative route for vehicles will be signed on the day.
Access will be maintained for emergency services.
The Order will come into effect on 23rd October 2023 and may continue
in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works
which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is
the earlier.
It is anticipated, however, that the works will be completed between
9am and 3.30pm on 23rd October 2023.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Kingston upon Hull City Council by
virtue of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 has
today made an Order.
The effect of the Order is to prohibit any person with a vehicle from
proceeding along Terry Street at the junction with Knightsbridge Court,
Kingston upon Hull.
The purpose of the Order is to ensure the safety of the public and
operatives during telecoms maintenance and repair works.
The alternative route for vehicles will be signed on the day.
Access will be maintained for emergency services.
The Order will come into effect on 26th October 2023 and may continue
in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works
which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is
the earlier.
It is anticipated, however, that the works will be completed between
9.30am and 3.30pm on 26th October 2023.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Kingston upon Hull City Council by
virtue of S.14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to
make an Order.
The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any person with a vehicle from
proceeding along:-
Walker Street, from Lovat Close to Neville Close, Kingston upon Hull.
The purpose of the Order is to ensure the safety of the public and
operatives during repair works to centre island visi rails.
The alternative route for vehicles will be signed on the days.
Access will be maintained for emergency services.
The Order will take effect on 6th November 2023, and may continue
in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works
which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is
the earlier.
It is anticipated, however, that the works will be completed in a period
of approximately 1 day.

SILVER STREET
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Kingston upon Hull City Council by
virtue of S.14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 intends to
make an Order.
The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any person with a vehicle from
proceeding along:-
Silver Street, from the junction with Lowgate and Market Place to the
junction with Land of Green Ginger, Kingston upon Hull.
The purpose of the Order is to ensure the safety of the public and
operatives during works to install and remove the Christmas lighting
system.
The alternative route for vehicles will be signed on the days.
Access will be maintained for emergency services.
The Order will take effect on 12th November 2023, and may continue
in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works
which it is proposed to carry out have been completed, whichever is
the earlier.
It is anticipated, however, that the installation will take place between
6am and 12 noon on 12th November 2023, and the removal will be
between 6am and 12 noon, one day between 1st January to 31st
January 2024.

MITCHAM ROAD/MIDDLESEX ROAD/BATTERSEA PARK
AREA (20 MPH SPEED LIMIT ZONE) ORDER 2023
Notice is hereby given that the Kingston upon Hull City Council
proposes to make an Order under Sections 1, 2(1) to (3), 4(2) of the
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and in pursuance of powers granted
by the Secretary of State under Section 74 and Part 2 of Schedule 8
and under Paragraph 8 of Schedule 9 of the Traffic Management Act
2004.
The effect of the Order will be to introduce a 20 mph speed limit zone
in the whole of the Ings Area Housing Development. New roads and
housing layouts have been installed in the Mitcham Road/Middlesex
Road/Battersea Park/Surbiton Close area. These roads are designed
to satisfy the requirements for a 20mph speed limit zone.
The purpose of the Order is to ensure that vehicle speeds are
consistent with the traffic calmed residential streets. Most streets
included in the proposed new Order are already in a 20mph zone.
A copy of the draft Order, the relevant plan and a statement of the
Council’s reasons for proposing to make the Order are available for

(PROHIBITION OF WAITING) ORDER 2023
Notice is hereby given that the Kingston upon Hull City Council
proposes to make an Order under Sections 1, 2(1) to (3), 4(2) of the
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and in pursuance of powers granted
by the Secretary of State under Section 74 and Part 2 of Schedule 8
and under Paragraph 8 of Schedule 9 of the Traffic Management Act
2004.
The effect of the Order will be to introduce new double yellow lines on
Abbey Lane at its junctions with Richmond Lane and Runnymede Lane.
New double yellow lines are also proposed at the entrances to the
parking courts in Abbey Lane, Village Green Way, Shinewater Park and
Attringham Park.
The purpose of the Order is considered necessary to facilitate traffic
flow, provide visibility at junctions and ensure access to properties.
A copy of the draft Order, the relevant plan and a statement of the
Council’s reasons for proposing to make the Order are available for

SHANNON ROAD (EAST OF TEES GROVE)
(PROHIBITION OF WAITING) ORDER 2023
Notice is hereby given that the Kingston upon Hull City Council on the
2nd October 2023 made the above Order under the Road Traffic
Regulation Act 1984. The Order will come into operation on the 9th
October 2023.
The effect of the Order is to install new double yellow lines on the north
side of Shannon Road at its junction with the new access road that
leads to property numbers 283-295 Shannon Road. The new access
road is also proposed to have double yellow lines on both sides at its
junction with Shannon Road.
The purpose of the Order is considered necessary to facilitate access
and ensure visibility at the new junction.
A copy of the Order and relevant map may be examined during normal
office hours at the Reception and Enquiries Office, The Guildhall, The
Kingston upon Hull, reference JGO/39800-1476.
If you wish to question the validity of this Order or any provisions
contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred
by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, or on the grounds
that any requirement of that Act or of any instrument made under it
has not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may, within six
weeks from the 2nd October 2023, apply to the High court for this
purpose.
RIBBLE STREET/DEE STREET
(PROHIBITION OF WAITING) ORDER 2023
Notice is hereby given that the Kingston upon Hull City Council on the
2nd October 2023 made the above Order under the Road Traffic
Regulation Act 1984. The Order will come into operation on the 9th
October 2023.
The effect of the Order is to replace some of the existing double yellow
lines in Ribble Street and Dee Street with new parking places where
waiting will be limited to 2 hours during the daytime.
The purpose of the Order is to create new parking spaces for up to
13 vehicles. Vehicles may park in these new parking places for up to
2 hours, with no return within 3 hours, between 8am and 5pm, Monday
to Saturday.
A copy of the Order and relevant map may be examined during normal
office hours at the Reception and Enquiries Office, The Guildhall, The
Kingston upon Hull, reference JGO/39800-1477.
If you wish to question the validity of this Order or any provisions
contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred
