Construction of New Road Hump at Tumble
1.NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Carmarthenshire County Council (‘the Council’) in exercise of the powers
conferred by section 90A of the Highways Act 1980 (hereinafter called 'the Act') and of all other enabling powers
and after consultation with the chief officer of police in accordance with section 90C(1) of the Act and those
bodies or persons prescribed by the Highways (Road Humps) Regulations 1999 (hereinafter called 'the
Regulations') and in accordance with section 90C(2) of the Act intends to construct a road hump in the form of a
flat top raised plateau complying with the Regulations at Tumble. The location of the flat top raised plateau is
more particularly described in the Schedule to this Notice.
The flat top raised plateau described in the said Schedule extends the full width of the road with a minimum 6
metres long flat top. It will be 75 millimetres in height and subject to the tolerances permitted in the Regulations
where the hump will not exceed 100 millimetres in maximum height.
Full details of the proposal together with a plan and a statement of the Council’s reasons for introducing these
vertical measures may be examined at the offices of the Council’s Service HWB at:
