Castle Leazes Halls of Residence - Proposal of Redevelopment Consultation
What is happening?
Castle Leazes Redevelopment Consultation
Newcastle University is proposing to redevelop the Castle
Leazes Halls of Residence site to improve its student
accommodation offer to meet the expectations of students
at a world-class university and ensure the highest levels of
sustainability.
Following the event in June there will be a second Open
Day where representatives of Newcastle University and
the Project Team will be present to display and discuss
emerging designs, answer questions and obtain feedback
from local residents.
The Open Day arrangements are:
Date: Tuesday 10 October
Time: 2:30pm to 7.30pm
Location: Fenwick Room, Castle Leazes Halls of
Residence, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE2 4NY
In addition to the Open Day, workshops will be held as
detailed below.
Date: Wednesday 11 October 2023
Time: Slot 1: 3:30pm to 4:30pm, Slot 2: 4:45pm to
5:45pm, Slot 3: 6:00pm to 7:00pm
Location: St Luke's Church, Claremont Street, Newcastle
upon Tyne, NE2 4AH
Places must be booked in advance. Please e-mail
Newcastle@pegasusgroup.co.uk or call 0191 917 6700
to book onto one of the workshops by 5pm on Friday 6
October 2023.
Further consultation events will take place to present final
options for feedback. The project website is available to
view at www.ncl.ac.uk/castleleazes, and comments can
be made electronically, for those that cannot attend the
consultation events.
