IMPORTANT NOTICE
CLAIM BY SEVERAL OWNERS OF PROPERTIES IN KING EDWARDS ROAD ASKING THE COURT TO DECLARE THAT THE THE ROAD IS NOT A PUBLIC HIGHWAY
Several owners of properties in King Edwards Road, Ruislip, have issued a claim at Court asking for a declaration that the Road is not a public highway. If the Court makes this declaration, members of the public will not have a legal right to drive vehicles or walk along the Road. The Council is opposing the owners’ claim.
If you have information which could be useful in helping the Court decide the claim, please provide this information to both the Council’s Solicitor and the Owners’ Solicitor no later than 27 October 2023. You will find their details below.
Information which will be particularly useful to the Court will be:
(i) how far back (to your knowledge) have members of the public driven or walked along the Road; and
(ii) whether (to your knowledge) the road has been closed to members of the public at any time in the past and, if so, when.
