Sandwell - Various Temporary Road Closures

The Borough Council of Sandwell (Church Hill, Wednesbury) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2023 has made an order to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Church Hill, Wednesbury between Little Hill and the boundary of No’s 20 and 22 Church Hill. A diversion route will be signed via High Bullen, Vicarage Road, Church Hill and also via Trouse Lane, Whitley Street, Hall End, St Mary’s Road, Church Hill and vice-versa. The maximum duration is 18 months but the work is expected to commence and be completed by 13/08/2023. Purpose – works to facilitate a new customer connection by Virgin Media. The Borough Council of Sandwell (Park Lane East, Tipton) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2023 has made an order to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Park Lane East, Tipton between the junctions of Station Street (eastern side) and Smith Place (western side). Access to any affected frontages will be maintained, but only when safety permits. A diversion route will be signed via Lower Church Lane, Dudley Port, Sedgley Road East, Coneygre Road, Victoria Road and vice-versa. The maximum duration is 18 months but the work is expected to be completed by 27/08/2023 effective from 12/08/2023 (24hr). Purpose – to facilitate access to complete bridge parapet works by Midland Metro Alliance. 

The Borough Council of Sandwell (Hill Street, Tipton) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2023 has made an order to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Hill Street, Tipton from the extended boundary of No’s 8/10 to the extended boundary of No’s 18/20 Hill Street. A diversion route will be signed via Manor Road, Park Lane West and vice-versa. The maximum duration is 18 months but the work is expected to be completed by 17/08/2023 effective from 15/8/2023. The Borough Council of Sandwell (Londonderry Lane and Queens Road, Smethwick) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2023 has made an order to temporarily prohibit vehicles from proceeding along Londonderry Lane, Smethwick which will be closed at the junction of Queens Road to the gable end of property No.221, and Queens Road at the junction of Londonderry Lane to the junction of Thimblemill Road (northern side). Access to any affected frontages will be maintained, but only when safety permits. A diversion route will be signed via Thimblemill Road, Three Shires Oak Road, Bearwood Road, High Street (A4030), Tollhouse Way, Fenton Street, St Pauls Road, Cemetery Road, Rood End Road, Vicarage Road, Dog Kennel Lane, Londonderry Road and vice-versa. An additional diversion route for local traffic will be signed via Manor Road, Basons Lane, Warley Road and vice-versa. The maximum duration is 18 months but the work is expected to be completed by 25/08/2023 effective from 14/08/2023 (24hr). Purpose – installation of a new speed table and tactile paving for pedestrian crossing point by Stourbridge Paving Company on behalf of Sandwell MBC Highways.
