PUBLIC NOTICE THREE RIVERS LOCAL PLAN ADDITIONAL CALL FOR BROWNFIELD SITES
Three Rivers District Council is preparing a new Local Plan which will provide the planning policies and proposals for future sustainable growth in the district up to 2041. In previous years we invited landowners, agents, and developers to submit new sites as part of our Issues & Options consultation (2017), Additional Call for Sites (2018), Potential Sites consultation (2018) and Regulation 18 Potential Sites for Allocation consultation (2021). In order to reduce the amount of greenfield land that is required for development, we are aiming to identify any potentially suitable and newly available brownfield sites for all types of housing and commercial development on brownfield land within Three Rivers.
According to the Government's definition, a brownfield site is one which:
'is or was occupied by a permanent structure, including the curtilage of the developed land (although it should not be assumed that the whole of the curtilage should be developed) and any associated fixed surface infrastructure'
The Council is now undertaking an Additional Call for Brownfield Sites from Wednesday 21 June 2023 until Wednesday 12 July 2023.
Sites which have already been submitted should not be re-submitted as part of this consultation. Sites promoted to the Council should be submitted on the Call for Sites Submission Form which can be downloaded from the Council's website: www.threerivers.gov.uk/egcl-page/new-local-plan.
These can be sent by email to localplanconsult@threerivers.gov.uk, or by post to: Planning Policy and Conservation, Three Rivers District Council, Three Rivers House, Northway, Rickmansworth, Herts WD3 1RL.
All submissions must be received by 17:00pm on Wednesday 12 July 2023.
23 June 2023.
