What is happening?
Public Consultation on the Proposed Glentaggart Wind Farm
Glentaggart Wind Limited is conducting a third public consultation event on a proposal to construct a wind farm development with a capacity of up to 42 megawatts and a tip height of up to 250 metres, approximately 9km north west of Abington, South Lanarkshire and 13km east of Muirkirk, East Ayrshire. The closest settlement to the proposed wind farm would be Glespin.
A third public consultation event relating to the proposal will be held on Thursday 27th April (2pm until 6pm) at Glespin Community Hall. To register your attendance at this exhibition please email glentaggartcomments@brockwellenergy.co.uk or call 07976 560218.
This event will provide further information about the project following the first and second public consultation events in November 2021 and March 2022 respectively. Members of the project team will be available to answer questions.
Attendees will have the opportunity to provide feedback about the proposals by completing a feedback form. Feedback can also be submitted online by visiting www.brockwellenergy.com/our-projects/onshore-wind/glentaggart/ where further information about the proposals can be found.
The final deadline for submitting comments will be the 25th May 2023.
PLEASE NOTE that comments submitted at this stage are not representations to the planning authority (South Lanarkshire Council). There will be an opportunity to make representations to South Lanarkshire Council when a formal application is made.
