1. This Notice of Variation is given pursuant to section 35C of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) and regulation 25 of The Local Authorities’ Traffic Orders (Procedure) (England and Wales) Regulations 1996.
2. The purpose of this Notice of Variation is to inform the public that with effect from the 12 April 2023 certain charges payable at the three car parks in Preston specified below will be varied:-
Avenham Multi Storey Car Park
Hill Street Surface Car Park
Trinity Square Car Park
3. At the date of this Notice of Variation the charges are as follows:-
Avenham Multi Storey Car Park
Monday-Sunday (including Bank Holidays) Charges payable 24 hours
Up to 1 hour £1.30
Up to 2 hours £2.20
Up to 3 hours £3.30
Up to 4 hours £4.00
Up to 12 hours £5.20
Up to 24 hours £10.00
Contract 7 days/Qtr £180.00
Contract 7 days/Mth £67.00
Hill Street Surface Car Park
Monday-Sunday (including Bank Holidays) Charges payable 24 hours
Up to 1 hour £1.50
Up to 2 hours £2.70
Up to 3 hours £3.50
Up to 4 hours £4.70
Over 4 hours £10.00
Evening Charge (18.30 to 06.00hrs next day) £3.00
Trinity Square Car Park
Monday-Sunday (including Bank Holidays) Charges payable 24 hours
Up to 1 hour £1.10
Up to 2 hours £2.10
Up to 3 hours £2.80
Up to 4 hours £3.30
Up to 12 hours £4.00
Up to 24 hours £6.00

4. With effect from 12 April 2023 some of the charges specified at number 3 above will be varied.

In addition to the car park charges above the following charges shall also apply to the charging of an electric vehicle at an Electric Vehicle Charging point:
Electric vehicle charging with a POLAR card 45 pence per KWh
Electric vehicle charging without a POLAR card 52 pence per KWh
