Notice of application for a full licence
to abstract (take) water


The Royal County of Berkshire Polo Club has applied
to the Environment Agency for a licence.


The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application,
in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act
1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction
and Impounding) Regulations 2006.


The application is for a full licence to abstract water from
a tributary of the River Cut at North Street, Windsor from
a reach between National Grid References SU 91680 71941
and SU 91712 71867.


The application is to abstract water all year as follows:
• 166 cubic metres an hour • 1,328 cubic metres a day
• 90,000 cubic metres a year.
The water will be used for the purpose of filling a reservoir
for subsequent spray irrigation.
