What is happening?

CHANGE OF AGE RANGE OF HARDWICK AND CAMBOURNE
COMMUNITY PRIMARY SCHOOL (CAMBOURNE SITE), SHEEPFOLD LANE, CAMBOURNE, CB23 6FR

Cambridgeshire County Council intends to make a prescribed alteration to Hardwick and Cambourne Community Primary School (Cambourne Site), Sheepfold Lane, Cambourne, CB23 6FR with effect from 1 September 2023.

Hardwick and Cambourne Community Primary School currently provides education for children aged 3-11 years, with a maintained nursery class.

The school would like to provide childcare for children aged 3-4 years in a Pre-School which would operate under the school’s Ofsted registration and continue to be managed and governed by the school. This will allow for a more efficient model of early years education at the school. To formally make this change it is necessary to change the age range of the school from 3-11 to 4-11 years.

There is no change planned to the number of early years places that the new arrangement will provide.

The consultation period will run from Thursday 23rd February to Thursday 23rd March 2023.
