(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2026


NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lancashire County Council intend to make an Order under Section 14(1) (a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic on the roads set out in this notice.
1. No person shall cause any motor vehicle to proceed over that length of B6254 Robraine, Whittington from outside property no.23 to B6254 Robraine to its junction with B6254 Church Street to Robraine to its North Yorkshire Boundary.
2. Nothing in this order shall apply to persons engaged in the carrying out of the works.
3. The prohibition will be operative from 0930 hours on Thursday 28th May 2026 until 1500 hours on Friday 29th May 2026 or until completion of the works within this period.
4. Access for emergency services will be maintained. Pedestrian access to properties will always be maintained.
5. An alternative route for vehicular traffic affected by the closure is via:-
B6254 Robraine – B6254 Church Street to Robraine – B6254 Main Street – B6254 Kikrby Lonsdale Road, B6254 Kellet Road, B6601 Leapers Wood Road, A6070 B6254 To M6 junction 35 – A6 Scotland Road – A6070 Burton Road – into North Yorkshire and vice
versa.
The temporary prohibition is necessary to allow telecoms pole maintenance works to be carried out on behalf of Openreach.
