Notice Of Intent To Create A Temporary  Traffic Order For Planned Works

Affecting: Various Roads, Greenford.

Ealing Council intends to make the following temporary traffic order under section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 : 

Title of order
This order can be referred to as: Temporary traffic order for planned works - TT 4495 Various Roads, Greenford  - 2024.

Reason for order
This order is needed to allow for works taking place on or  near the road. These works involve UK Power Solutions installing new underground high voltage cables.

Effect of order
1. Ingram Way & Downing Drive will be closed at their  junctions with Greenford Road from 6th to 8th December  2024.

2. Alperton Lane will be closed at its junction with A40 Western Avenue from 13th to 15th December 2024.

3. Rydal Crescent will be closed in one direction from Alperton Lane from 13th to 15th December 2024. Rydal  Crescent will remain open for traffic heading on to Alperton  Lane from 13th to 15th December 2024.

4. The following temporary restrictions on vehicle movements will take effect from 6th December 2024.

(a) No entry into the fully closed section(s) of Alperton Lane, Rydal Crescent, Downing Drive & Ingram Way.

(b) No waiting, loading, or unloading on either side of the carriageway within the fully closed section.

5. The above temporary restrictions and prohibitions will only apply at specified locations where appropriate traffic signs are provided and displayed in accordance with Chapter 8 of the Traffic Signs Manual.

6. While the temporary restrictions are in place, displaced  vehicles should follow the diversions displayed in place to reach their destinations and comply with any traffic management measures.

7. This Order does not apply to:
(a) anything done at the direction of a police officer in uniform or a police community support officer (PCSO).

(b) any vehicle being used for police, fire brigade or ambulance.

Date order will come into force. 6th December 2024

Maximum duration of order
This order will expire on 5th June 2026 or, on completion of the works, which is expected to be 15th December 2024, whichever is sooner.
