Sarsfields GAA Club, Derrytrasna - expression of interest
What is happening?
Sarsfields GAA Club, Derrytrasna, with the support of ABC Council is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) from contractors interested in being invited to tender for the construction of a community walking track (“the Trasna Trail”) at Sarsfields GAA grounds. The development aims to encourage and inspire all members of the community to get outside and get moving in a safe and friendly environment.
The project involves developing a durable recreation / walking track around the club’s playing fields, including ground preparation, installation of suitable path surfacing, fencing, lighting and associated works. The work is due to commence in mid-January and completed by end of March 2026.
The Club welcomes interest from contractors with general experience in works such as walking trails, surfacing, landscaping, light civil works or similar projects.
Local contractors are especially encouraged to apply.
Interested contractors are asked to submit an Expression of Interest to
by Tuesday 23rd December 2025 at 4.00pm with the following information:
= Company/contact details
= Short summary of relevant experience (e.g. civil works,
paths, landscaping or similar)
= Confirmation of insurance cover appropriate for works
of this nature and scale
Contractors will be shortlisted based on the information received and invited to tender.
