What is happening?

has applied to the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs for consent under section 23(2) of the National Trust Act 1971 to carry out restricted works on Passfield Common. The Planning Inspectorate will decide the application on behalf of the Secretary of State. The proposed works are to a replace a bus shelter that was dismantled due to its state of deterioration. The dimensions of the shelter are 3.8m x 2.03m x 2.61m. The shelter will be constructed using an oak frame, oak cladding and a cedar tile pitched roof.  The works will be located on the Green (Passfield Common) at the bus stop located on the Liphook bound carriage way of the B3004, Headley Road, Passfield.   A copy of the application form and accompanying documents can be inspected at The Passfield Club, Passfield, GU30 7RU during normal office hours until 4th October 2025.
