What is proposed?

LICENSING ACT 2003

Mr Rasiharan SIVARAJAN is applying for the Variation of a Premises Licence for V.J. Stores, 33’ High Street, Burnham-On-Sea, TA8 1PA.

The Licence if granted is to enable the following activities to take place: sale of alcohol off the premises;

On the following days; Mon - Sun 07.00 - 21.00

The requested hours are to reflect the premises changing its current hours of operation to serve alcohol in an ‘off sales’ capacity only, during the stores opening hours.

Any person wishing to make a representation do so in writing to the licensing authority, giving in detail the grounds of objection, within 28 days of the date of this notice by, 22nd October 2026.

Representations can be emailed licensing.sedgemoor@somerset.gov.uk, or posted to licensing; Somerset Council, Bridgwater House, Bridgwater, TA6 3AR.

It is an offence to knowingly or recklessly make a false statement in connection with an application. The maximum fine for which a person is liable on summary conviction for making a false statement is level 5 on the standard scale (unlimited amount).
