What is proposed?

NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR VARIATION OF CLUB PREMISES CERTIFICATE UNDER THE LICENSING ACT 2003

Chew Valley Cricket Club applied to Bath & North East Somerset Council on September 25, 2026 for a certificate to use the premises at Cricket Ground, The Chalks, Chew Magna, BS40 8SN for the sale by retail of alcohol to a member of the club and their guests including opposing teams on Thursday nights from 1730 to 2130 in addition to the existing licensed hours on Wednesday/Friday evenings and Saturday/Sunday afternoons and evenings. Some contact details have also been updated including the renaming from Chew Magna to Chew Valley Cricket Club.
Notification of the application made to the Licensing Authority is available on a register at www.bathnes.gov.uk/licensing-register.
Representations should be made in writing to: Bath & North East Somerset Council Licensing Services Lewis House Manvers Street Bath BA1 1JG or by email to licensing@bathnes.gov.uk by October 24, 2026 Representations made will be disclosed in an open meeting should a hearing be necessary.
It is an offence knowingly or recklessly to make a false statement in connection with an application and is subject to a fine of any amount on summary conviction for the offence.
