Notice of application for a licence to obstruct or impede the flow of an inland water using impounding works
Nantwich Mill Community Energy Limited has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.
The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application, in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.
The application is for a licence to obstruct or impede the flow of the River Weaver at Nantwich Mill, Cheshire at National Grid Reference (NGR) SJ 64970 52245.
Water will be obstructed or impeded for the purpose of Hydro- Electric Power (HEP) production. All of the water used for HEP production will be returned to the River Weaver at NGR SJ 64985 52250.
