NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR A VARIATION OF A PREMISES LICENCE
Notice is hereby given that We, Hickory’s (ROS) Limited have applied to Newcastle City Council on 07th September 2026 for a variation to a premises licence to use the premises at: Hickory’s Smokehouse (formerly known as the Newton Park Hotel), Benton Road, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE7 7EB
The application seeks to: Update the licensed plan to reflect the proposed layout and licensed areas
Amend the permitted hours for the sale of alcohol to commence at 09:00 daily
Add the exhibition of films between 09:00 and 23:00 daily Update and modernise the conditions and operating schedule to better reflect the operation of the premises as a Hickory’s Smokehouse
Remove and replace historic licence conditions no longer appropriate to the proposed operation of the premises For further details, please view the application/proposed licensing plan
Any part of the variation application that changes the plan/layout at the premises to be of no effect until the work has been completed.
Any person who wishes to make a representation in relation to this application must give notice in writing of their representation by 05th October 2026 stating the grounds for making said representation to the: Licensing Authority, Newcastle City Council, Public Safety and Regulation, Civic Centre, Newcastle upon Tyne NE1 8QH www.newcastle.gov.uk
The application may be viewed during normal office hours at the above address or at https://portal.newcastle.gov.uk
The Licensing Authority must receive representations by the date given above. The Licensing Authority will have regard to any such representation in considering the application.
It is an offence, under section 158 of the Licensing Act 2003, to knowingly or recklessly make a false statement in or in connection with an application for premises licence and the maximum fine on summary conviction is unlimited.
