under Section 17 of The Licensing Act 2003
Notice is hereby given that an application was made to
Portsmouth City Council for a premises licence under the
above Act on the 28th August 2026. Applicant: Seaward
Stores Limited. Address of premises: Convenience Store,
Brunel House, 40a The Hard, Portsmouth PO1 3GY.
Proposed licensable activities: The supply of alcohol for
consumption off the premises. Proposed days and hours of
opening & licensable activity: Opening hours every day
Mon-Sun 06:00-23:00. Alcohol sales every day Mon-Sun
06:00-23:00. A copy of the statutory register may be
inspected during normal office hours at the address shown
below or online at
Any responsible authority, or any other person wishing to
make representations on this matter, must submit those
representations in writing to the Licensing Manager,
Licensing Service, Civic Offices, Guildhall Square,
Portsmouth PO1 2AL by no later than the 25th September
2026. Written representations may also be made by email

address and will be deemed public documents, will be
forwarded to the licence holder, and will be considered by
the licensing authority.
All relevant representations will be available for public
inspection and also published on the Council’s website.
It is an offence knowingly or recklessly to make a false
statement in connection with an application and, on
summary conviction for the offence, a person is liable to a
fine of any amount.
