TO : WHOM IT MAY CONCERN We Shifty Events Limited do hereby serve notice on 27th August 2026 that it is our intention to apply to Eastbourne Borough Council for the grant of a new premises licence or club premises certificate to use or permit the use of premises known as Basement Floor, 113-115 Seaside, Eastbourne, East Sussex, BN21 3PT for the following licensable activities or proposed variation:
Live Music - Sunday to Thursday; 12:00 - 00:00. Friday and Saturday 12:00 - 03:00. Recorded Music - Sunday to Thursday; 12:00 -00:00. Friday and Saturday 12:00 - 03:00. Supply of Alcohol - Sunday to Thursday; 12:00 -00:00. Friday and Saturday 12:00 - 03:00. With an allowance for these times to be adjusted to 12:00 - 04:00 12 times per year with prior notice to Sussex Police AND With an allowance for these times to be adjusted to 12:00 - 04:00 on Bank holiday Sundays, Easter Thursday, Halloween, Christmas Eve, Boxing Day and New Years Eve.
Any person who desires to make a representation to the grant should send a brief written statement of the grounds of his/her objection to licensing@lewes-eastbourne.gov.uk or Licensing Team Eastbourne Town Hall Grove Road Eastbourne BN21 4UG no later than midnight on 24th September 2026. The register and records of applications may be viewed at the above council office during normal office hours; summaries are available via www.lewes-eastbourne.gov.uk.
It is an offence knowingly or recklessly to make a false statement in connection with an application, the maximum penalty for which a person is liable on summary conviction is an unlimited fine.
