S34 LICENSING ACT 2003 PUBLIC NOTICE: AN APPLICATION TO VARY PREMISES LICENCE
NOTICE IS GIVEN THAT Central England Co-operative have applied to Chelmsford City Council on 24th August 2026 for the Variation of a Premises Licence for Co-op, 156 Gloucester Avenue, Chelmsford, Essex, CM2 9LG. Licence number: 05/00652/LAPRE.
The Variation is to extend the licensing hours to 06:00 to 23:00 every day (removing Good Friday and Christmas Day conditions), to remove all conditions listed under “Annex 2 - Embedded conditions” of the Premises Licence, and to update the plan attached to the Licence to reflect the layout of the premises.
Any interested party or responsible authority may make representations regarding this application, which must be made in writing within 28 days of the posting of this notice.
All representations must be made by 21st September 2026
in writing, addressed to: The Licensing Team at: Civic Centre, Duke Street, Chelmsford, CM1 1JE or by email to: licensing@chelmsford.gov.uk
NOTE: It is an offence under Section 158 of the Licensing Act 2003, knowingly or recklessly to make a false statement in connection with an application. A person is liable to an unlimited fine on conviction should such a false statement be made.
