Variation of a Premises Licence

Notice is hereby given that Board Of Trustees Of Tate Galleries has applied to the Cornwall Council on 19/08/2026 for a variation to a premises licence for Tate St Ives Tate Gallery, Porthmeor Beach, St Ives, Cornwall, TR26 1TG.

The variation is to update the layout of the premises only in accordance with the plans submitted. The changes are to improve the overall standard of the premises and providing plans up to current British standards.

Summary of changes are as follows: Reconfiguration of gallery spaces, modernised room layouts with upgraded fire safety apparatus. There are no increases in hours being sought.

A responsible authority or other person wishing to make representations to this application may do so by writing to the Licensing, Cornwall Council, New County Hall, Treyew Road, Truro Cornwall TR1 3AY or email licensing@cornwall.gov.uk not later than 16/09/2026. 

A record of the application can be viewed at the Licensing Authority’s address Monday to Friday (except Bank Holidays) during normal office hours by prior appointment.

It is an offence knowingly or recklessly to make a false statement in connection with this application. A person guilty of an offence is liable on summary conviction to a fine not exceeding level 5 on the standard scale, which is unlimited.
