Licensing Act 2003: Application for a Variation of a Premises Licence

We Silverworks Island Limited have applied to Newham Council to vary the premises licence for Broadwick Festival, Silvertown Quays bounded by Royal Victoria Dock, Connaught Bridge and Mill Rd, North Woolwich Rd, Silvertown, London E16 1UR so as the following licensable activities may be provided on the following days and hours: To vary condition 4 of the premises licence to increase the maximum number of permitted event days from six to ten event days per year, to remove the restriction limiting events to no more than three consecutive event days, and to remove the restriction on the days of the week on which events may take place. To extend the permitted hours for licensable activities Monday to Thursday to 12.00 until 23.00, so that the same hours match the existing permitted hours on Friday and Saturday. On Sundays the permitted hours will end at 22.30. No other changes to the licensable activities or licence conditions are sought.

Newham Council’s Licensing Register is kept at the office of the Licensing Team, East Ham Town Hall, Barking Road, London E6 2RP (open 10am-4pm Monday-Friday), 020 3373 1925, where details of the application may be inspected. Any representations against the application must be made in writing and received by the Licensing Team at the above address or via our website https://www.newham.gov.uk/Pages/Services/Premises-alcohol-and-entertainment-licence.aspx, no later than 15 September 2026.

Individuals, businesses and other bodies may make representations in relation to the application. Representations must be relevant and can only be based upon the Licensing Objectives; the prevention of crime and disorder, public safety, the prevention of public nuisance, and the protection of children from harm. Copies of all representations will be sent to the applicant. Persons making representations will have to appear at the Council’s Licensing Sub-Committee.

Note: It is an offence, liable on conviction to a fine up to £5,000 for an applicant to knowingly or recklessly make a false statement in connection with the application.
